WelbeHealth is thrilled about the progress the larger Senator Elizabeth Dole 21st Century Veterans Healthcare and Benefits Improvement Act is making. This act will enable more veterans to access care in their homes and communities, including local Programs of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). It will also support veterans in finding organizations like WelbeHealth. WelbeHealth External Affairs Director Lisa Ard, MPA, expressed, "WelbeHealth applauds this bipartisan legislative effort that will expand access for US veterans to the PACE program. As an organization, we deeply value the sacrifices that veterans have made on behalf of our country and believe it’s vital that we uphold the sacred contract we have with them. That contract includes a commitment that, whenever possible, we ensure that they can continue to live in their community while having access to excellent wraparound healthcare services.” #seniorhealthcare #veterans #PACE #expandaccess https://lnkd.in/eZhMCSFH
Amazing! Looking forward to more progress on this.

1moLisa Ard, MPA though I've been funneling this information down to my veteran participants, the big question they have is how PACE organizations and V.A. will coordinate and communicate, especially when the vet has a percentage of service-connected disability coverage. What are the requirements for V.A. to share records? Who takes the lead in serving as primary provider? Will V.A. offer transportation to their medical facilities and then send reports to PACE? They are excited about better coordination!
