How to Sign In to Max on Roku

This article provides instructions for downloading and installing the Max (formerly HBO Max) app on any Roku device and provides information about signing up for Max if you don't already have an account.

How to Get Max on Roku Devices

One of the easiest ways to get started is by downloading the Max app to your Roku device. To do that, all you need to do is go to the Roku Channel Store from a web browser or your Roku device and locate the app.

1. Start your Roku device and navigate to the Channel store.

2. Use the remote to search for Max.

3. Select it from the search results.

4. Select +Add Channel.

It may take a few minutes for the channel to download and be added to your menu, but once it has, all you have to do to access Max is click the channel icon.

How to Add Max from a Web Browser

If you're already online, you can add Max directly from your web browser. Here's how:

1. Go to the Roku Channel store. If prompted, provide your Roku log-in credentials to gain access to the store.

2. Using the Search channel bar near the top of the screen, search for Max.

3. Click Max in the search results.

4. On the next screen, click +Add Channel.

The channel will be added to your Roku channel line-up, and the next time you access your Roku, you will be able to select it from your channel list.

How to Sign Up for Max on Roku

If you already have an HBO account, you can sign in to the Max channel using the credentials you used to sign up for the account. So, for example, if you have HBO through AT&T, use your AT&T credentials. Or, if you have it through your cable provider, use your cable credentials.

If you don't have an account yet, signing up for one is easy. You can either sign up for Max on the website, or you can sign in through the Roku channel you just installed.

1. After you've installed the Max Channel on your Roku device, select it to open the app and then select Start Free Trial or Subscribe Now.

2. Enter the requested information (name, email address, and password) and then click Create Account.
