Nov 20, 2018 at 17:24 | comment | added | anon | @Bernat Oh, I didn't say OP should stay because of that possible justification (see the end of my comment?) I just wanted to put that out there before they made any character judgements on the boss.
Nov 20, 2018 at 17:10 | comment | added | Bernat | @Nic Hartley I agree with you. However, it has nothing to do with OP's losing trust and not enjoying working at the company anymore.
Jul 6, 2018 at 17:21 | comment | added | anon | Addendum after-the-fact: It's possible his boss knew about the reports, but simply didn't believe them, or at least not entirely. It can be difficult for people to really internalize that their friend is someone they'd consider repugnant; he might have just assumed it wasn't as serious as it was made out to be. It's unfortunate to be sure, and you're well within your rights to leave over it, but it's something to consider at least.

Apr 5, 2017 at 18:58 | comment | added | eipi | @Lot it has all worked out in the end. I still have my job, my coworker no longer has his. He apparently has a history of this kind of behaviour.
Mar 30, 2017 at 18:41 | comment | added | LampPost | I've been following this since the beginning and am glad things are turning your way. Could we get an update on how things turned out?
Mar 27, 2017 at 10:37 | comment | added | Lot | If you ever find the time, we would appreciate an update about the outcome. Hope everything went well!

Explain why this post is not what it appears at first glance, a version of "How can I get along with the office jerk?"

Mar 20, 2017 at 21:53 | comment | added | Christos Hayward | @MrE Touching someone's arse, unsolicited, after repeatedly being told "No" is not with the range of normal flirting.
Mar 20, 2017 at 14:23 | comment | added | Omegacron | @MrE - from the OP's description, the behavior long ago crossed from harmless flirting to a form of harassment. That said, though, granted I think mentions of counseling and emergency rooms are probably a bit much. Counseling is always an option, of course, if the OP feels it will help with what she's feeling. An emergency room, though, makes zero sense whatsoever unless she was physically assaulted and/or raped.
Mar 20, 2017 at 8:13 | comment | added | MrE | @JonathanHayward that's ridiculous thinking a women needs counseling because a man is flirting with him

Mar 19, 2017 at 16:26 | comment | added | Christos Hayward | Some counselors reading your story, beyond being appalled, would emphatically say, "Please go to the nearest emergency room right away!"
