The new ChatGPT outperforms Claude.   But I don't trust benchmarks. So I ran my own tests: test #1 → analyze a 42-page PDF I asked the 2 of them to read the entire PDF and summarize it. At first, claude did a great job but then completely hallucinated: It gave me 2 steps that I didn't ask for: > a list of 5 important facts > a fictional discussion with a student gpt-4o gave me:  > an executive summary > a detailed summary of each chapter It's actually really good. And it was so fast. It feels like groq. Last time I asked gpt-4, I only got a short summary of the PDF. test #1: gpt-4o wins. test #2 → specific graph analysis:  "Exposure to AI & to automation in UK" gpt-4o gave me: > a full description of the two panels > a specific percentile details > observations & conclusions And in a bullet-point format. Easy to read. What about claude? claude gave an analysis of the graph but: > shorter description > shorter observation & conclusion > and not in a bullet point format test #2: gpt-4o wins. test #3: making a graph. I wanted to know if gpt-4o can create a graph with the same insights. It cannot. → It gave me false data & makes up words. → It might only work for simple tasks. test #4: write an article I asked both of them to write an article based on the PDF and the graph: gpt-4o gave me a full article with: > titles for each part > call-to-action > SEO keywords claude gave me a shorter article: > less details > no SEO keywords test #4: gpt-4o wins again. Now, test #5: I asked for a Linkedin post. Both LLMs had to get inspired by the PDF. And both of them gave me: > posts that are too long > emojis & question marks I asked for a shorter one and gpt-4o did a better job. claude still didn't. test #5: gpt-4o wins again. Now can they write a tiktok script? And the answer is no. Their generations are awful. gpt-4o scripts starts with "hey everyone" and claude: "hey there". You're not going anywhere with this. So I took a video from Mr Beast as a template and asked for a new script: → claude doesn't have internet access.  → gpt-4o gave me a better hook: → "AI is shaking up the job market". But I'm not sure that it actually got the script from the video. It's still much better with a one-shot example. Final conclusion on all these tests: gpt-4o did a better job than claude on most of the tests. It's insanely fast & good at copywriting. But it needs improvements, and a whole lot of one-shot examples to be better. It still lies and hallucinates on some tests. Last thing before I leave this place: Most people copy -paste prompts from the internet. 1) they don't know how to prompt 2) they can't create prompt for their own needs That's why I made the simplest prompt engineering course on how to master ChatGPT in 2024. OKRs don’t work for early-stage teams. Here’s a 4 step process to use instead 👇 1️⃣ Step 1: Set 3 simple, quantifiable goals each month. - These should be quantifiable ie. “Get 20 backlinks” not “Drive SEO.” - These should roll up to your 1 company north star (most critical company metric). 2️⃣ Step 2: Review the goals every month in the following specific way. - Review your goals in TWO DISTINCT passes. Pass 1 - just “The facts” Pass 2 - “Your Stories” - Pass 1 is a fully objective “Yes/No” answer to “Did I hit the goal # I set as my quantifiable goal?” 👉 For example, if the goal was 20 backlinks and you got 18 with 4 pending, the answer is no. 3️⃣ Step 3: Reflect on why you did or didn’t hit the goal. 👉 For example, if you had 18 links with 4 pending, perhaps the "why" is that it takes longer for the links to go up than you expected. This means you either need to start your outreach earlier in the month or find a tactic to speed up this step in the funnel. 🧠 Another story can be as simple "I thought backlinks would be critical this month, but instead needed to shift all my attention to hiring so I set the wrong goal." Your goal is to get this process fast and dialed and to eventually get in a rhythm where you hit 1-2 of your 3 goals each month. Similar to OKRs, the 1-2 out of 3 is based on the fact that you should be setting goals that are aspirational but realistic. Getting to the point where you are setting goals well takes 2-3 months of running this process in my experience. 4️⃣ Step 4: As you review your goals, take note of: - What patterns of success/failure do I fall into? - This structured process is a powerful way to learn about yourself and what is holding you back. - For example do you procrastinate your most important work? - Are you overly optimistic in your targets? - One benefit of this process is self-awareness and learning. - Finally, in the first few months of running this process accept that you’ll have to iterate the general structure to work for you and your specific needs. 👉 For example, do you review the goals on the first Sunday of each month or first Monday or first Friday? Here's how I am creating one for a client for my AI consulting business👇 📚 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗸 🔹 Streamlit - I use this to display the chat interface itself 🔹 OpenAI - Grab an API key for GPT3.5+ for prompt processing/generation 🔹 LangChain - Open-source for building chatbot application 🔹 Pinecone - Vector DB to store customer's document data 🔹 FastAPI - Use this as the API framework 🗺️ 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱, 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄 1. The user sends a request prompt request via Streamlit chat interface 2. FastAPI receives the endpoint that invokes the LLM agent 3. The LLM agent doesn't generate the prompt right away, it selects Tools 4. Tools include (A) querying Snowflakes or (B) retrieving docs from Pinecone 4A. If Agent uses SQL, it creates an SQL script executable in Snowflakes 4B. If Agent needs contexts, use retriever to get docs from Pinecone 5. Agent responses with user question + chat history (memory) + context 💡 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 Prototyping is the easy part, but implementation at the enterprise level is the most challenging part of the work. ✅ Security is the biggest issue for chatbots. User can use prompt injection to shutdown an SQL DB or service if the agent has permission to do so. ✅ Managing multiple data from multiple clients. Not all users should have access to all the data in the vector store. You have to create a new index per client or use a namespace per client to separate client data. ✅ Prompt evaluation in scale. You can't use generic LLM data like MMLU for evaluating chatbot as the task involved is specialized. Work with an SME and train a separate LLM that evaluates responses. Or gather user-based signals to gauge the level of engagement with a chatbot. 👉 LLM is a game-changer. And, I will show you how to leverage one for your company's use case. Reading through the prompts phrased as questions I wondered if ChatGPT (or other AI GPTs) give different responses to closed questions and open questions. In fact, to answer the questions in the examples correctly, it seems like the AI could have answered "Yes" to any of the questions ... and wait for a further request to instructing it to actually give you the answer. When closed questions do not give you the answers with humans conversation partner, the miracle of open questions works with human beings like a charm. Seems here like the AI is not so picky.
