Releasing M(AI)DI : AI + MIDI python package 🐍 🎶 Following our effort at MusicLang to build the enterprise co-pilot for building the next generation of music apps with AI features, we are pleased to announce the release of M(AI)DI to the open-source community. This package is your starting point for any AI-related project aiming to target artists and music users who manipulate MIDI in their composition workflow. Our ambition is to ease the use of MIDI in AI projects and showcase the capabilities of symbolic music GenAI. M(AI)DI has been designed to be the entry point with top symbolic music AI models and APIs to accelerate and simplify AI integrations into your products. Of course, the first integration on the list is the connection with our best-in-class models, through our enterprise-grade API. Many examples are showcased in the documentation, but in short, here is where M(AI)DI shines (bright like a diamond 💎): • MIDI Files Manipulation: Load, save, edit, merge, and analyze MIDI files with ease; • Automatic MIDI Tagging: Get the chords, tempo, time signature, and many other musical features for each bar/instrument of the MIDI file; • Music AI Models Integration: Integrate with the best music AI models and APIs to generate music. 🎹 MusicLang: Your enterprise Co-Pilot for building the next generation of music apps 🥁 Things are moving fast in the music x AI x tech industry, especially with the recent buzz generated by Suno's $125M funding round at a $500M valuation. In our latest blog post (link below ⬇️), we dive deep into the value proposition of MusicLang, highlighting how it can be used to compose a track end-to-end, acting as the music co-pilot of reference to be integrated into your apps.
