Today, we're celebrating International Women In Engineering Day #INWED24 at Triumph. Our bikes could not have been made possible without the incredible work of the talented women who are based across all of our engineering disciplines, continuously striving to perfection in their craft. We spoke to them this week to discuss their careers in Engineering and what it means to them. If you could give your younger self or an aspiring engineer one piece of advice, what would it be? "Have more faith in yourself – you are more than capable of achieving what you set your mind to" - Lily-May Chapman, Design Engineer What do you enjoy most about working as an Engineer in the Motorcycle Industry? "I enjoy the level of detail and pride that goes in to designing the a-class surfaces. Once the bikes go into production, they are something to stand back and be proud of" - Charlie Wing, Senior CAD Designer "Being surrounded by motorcycles and those with a similar passion" - Charlotte Knight - Electronic Control Systems Engineer What inspired you to become an engineer? "My grandad was a Technician in the Royal Air Force and my grandma rides motorcycles, so I’ve always been interested in both subjects individually and joining them together for my career has been an amazing experience" - Charlotte Rendell - Apprentice Maintenance Engineer Summarise your career at Triumph in 3 words. We were delighted that former Welsh International and British and Irish Lions rugby player George North addressed and presented to our Professional Development Programme today. George spoke about his experiences in international rugby over the last 14 years and how these related to business and leadership before participating in an open Q&A with Triumph attendees.
