Wow, that was an amazing trip: Stuttgart - Lake of Constance - St. Gotthard Pass - Luino - Levanto (Cinque Terre) - Grosetto/ Saturnia - Latina - Vico Equense/ Napoli - Positano (Amalfi Coast) - Lake Garda - Bolzano - Starnberger See - Munich - Stuttgart. In total, we travelled 3.379 KM with our #volkswagen #ID5 in the past two weeks and at no time we faced the risk no to find a charging station. Additionally, the charging stops can always be used quite more efficiently than fueling your car: We went to visit a city center at Lago do garda, we went shopping or met with friends for a coffee and an Aperol Spritz in Bolzano and all this, while the car was charging. This is #multitasking at its best 😉 For everyone that is still sceptical: electric mobility is the future, eventhough it is just a small puzzle piece in mastering the #1komma5grad challenge. And while I’m writing these lines, find attached an inspiration for your next lecture. We are REALLY moving forward at Vidde Mobility - Rapidly!! and sometimes it feels like we can't wait for time to race forward so we can have our products in the market 😍 The interest around the development is increasing and as the local newspaper is pinpointing we already have quite a few milestones to celebrate 🥳 ✌️We already have proven our ability develop a fully functional electric vehicle, our #prototype #Frank, with the following accomplishments: ✔️0-100 in 2 seconds ✔️100km range ✔️Stable battery capacity & charging in arctic climate ✔️A snowmobile that in low speed moves in absolute silence ✌️Now we are close to delivering our first #designed vehicle ready for testing together with our pre-series partners SkiStar AB Skellefteå Kraft and ICEHOTEL The vehicle is designed to last together with our amazing design partner Pininfarina and the whole foundation of our collaboration is based on creating a vehicle Designed To Last. Both in terms of functionality through modularity and upgradability but just as important through the visual expression, the appeal and attraction that will have the user wanting to keep using the Vidde snowmobile for years and years. Do you want to know how a small-town girl from Sweden ended up as design director in one of the world's largest car companies? Agneta Dahlgren Hermine is one of very few female car designers in the world. She is Design Director Projects EV/CD at Renault Group, situated in Paris. At the Sisters In Cars Scandinavia (SICS) conference in Oslo, March´23, she was one of the events keynote speakers and shared her success story. Very fascinating! We are preparing for the next SICS conference in Gothenburg, 7-8 November´23, and will share success stories from the Oslo conference. Each story is unique and personal. Hopefully they can inspire and motivate to see the car industry as more than a male dominated territory. The SICS network want to contribute to work for diversity and inclusion in this industry. The conferences address themes and questions with a focus on this. Agneta says: "Diversity really matters. Both visible and invisible obstacles hold women back in the auto industry.
