Avneet Kaur on getting trolled for her red carpet appearance at Cannes; says 'I don't know why people spread so much negativity'

Recently, popular actress Avneet Kaur was seen at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival. She attended the renowned event to reveal the first look of her film, ‘Love In Vietnam,’ in which she stars alongside Shantanu Maheshwari. However, she faced criticism from netizens who trolled her for attending Cannes, questioning her presence at the event and criticizing her appearance.
The actress, who recently featured on Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa's podcast, discussed the flood of negative comments she received on social media after posting pictures from the Cannes Film Festival.
Speaking about getting trolled on social media, Avneet said, "Yes, recently there were people who commented on my Cannes appearance saying, “Who took her to Cannes”? “Isko kisne bulaya?” I was like I had to release the poster of my film. There was a reason behind going to Cannes and I wanted to represent India at the International level. I was very proud of that feeling. My parents were also proud of me but I don’t know why people get so negative sometimes or spread negativity. I feel we all should stop spreading this negativity Aur jitna hosake Ek dusre ko appreciate, support karna chahiye and we should spread positivity.”
