Anoop Menon announces his next titled ‘Checkmate’

Anoop Menon's 'Checkmate' is his most expensive film, shot in New York with Lal and Rekha Harindran. Directed by Ratish Sekhar, the suspense thriller also features Raji Arun and Sowmya Rajan. Viswam Nair joins the cast, with Ruslan Perezhilo on background scores and Prejish Prakash editing. Menon's recent projects include 'Nadikar' with Tovino Thomas and 'Ideem Minnalum' with Dhyan Sreenivasan.

Anoop Menon has announced his next film titled ‘Checkmate’. The first look poster of the film was launched on Saturday, June 29, evening via his social media handle. Anoop Menon revealed that the upcoming film is the ‘most expensive’ film in his career. The film helmed by debutant Ratish Sekhar, also has actors Lal, Rekha Harindran in pivotal roles.
‘Checkmate’ will be entirely shot in New York and various parts of America.
Anoop Menon dropped the first look poster and said, “First look of the most expensive film of my career...entirely shot in newyork and different parts of America this is the love child of a group of super talented American malayalees… let us cheer for that young, vibrant youth.”

Directed by debutant Ratish Sekhar, ‘Checkmate’ is said to be a suspense thriller. Interestingly the director himself is the writer, cinematographer, and composer. Actors Raji Arun, Sowmya Rajan, Shyam Krishna and Viswam Nair, are also part of the cast. Ruslan Perezhilo is in charge of the background scores, while the editing wil be done by Prejish Prakash.

On the other hand, Anoop Menon’s recent outing was ‘Nadikar’ starring Tovino Thomas. ‘Nadikar’ told the story of a young superstar. He also has ‘Ideem Minnalum’ starring Dhyan Sreenivasan in the pipeline.
