The first 2024 New Paint for a New Start projects in Italy and China have been completed, with more than 100 of our employee volunteers bringing fresh paint and colorful murals to schools as part of our COLORFUL COMMUNITIES® program. In Milan, Italy, more than 50 volunteers revamped Gianni Rodari Middle School with fresh layers of our SIGMA™ paints by PPG, including two murals focused on environmental sustainability and diversity. Volunteers used our Sigma Pearl Clean paint, which features innovative Easy Clean technology, ensuring durability over time, and is sustainability certified by Ecolabel. In Foshan, China, 70 volunteers completed a colorful and transformative makeover at Qianxi Primary School, renovating the sports fields for students. Volunteers used our 2024 Color of the Year, Limitless, in the wall paintings. Our employee volunteers around the world will continue volunteering their time throughout July and August to transform more than 25 schools and educational spaces using our paint products and color expertise, aiming to create engaging spaces for students to learn and grow. #PPGproud #ProtectandBeautify #ColorfulCommunities

Our PPG MoonWalk® automated paint mixing system is now on tour in the United States. In two colorful trucks, the revolutionary system from our automotive refinish business will make stops from coast to coast showcasing our suite of digital technologies for the refinish industry. “The PPG MoonWalk automated system ensures exceptional accuracy in every mix, so painters can spend more time painting and body shop owners can tackle labor challenges,” said Tom Maziarz, our vice president, Americas, Automotive Refinish. “We're excited to showcase this technology across the U.S., demonstrating how it can enhance the operational efficiency of body shops.” The tour’s mission is to showcase the system’s significant benefits for body shops, including improved quality and efficiency, time and labor cost savings and reduced material waste. Other tools from our PPG LINQ™ digital ecosystem present on the trucks include PPG VisualizID™ color visualization software, the PPG DigiMatch™ spectrophotometer, PPG LINQ Color™ software and the PPG MagicBox™ digital shop assistant. The trucks are painted with the latest PPG Advanced Surface Technologies film products. PPG Advanced Surface Technologies provides clear and paint film products, which are durable multilayer applications in vibrant solid, metallic and pearlescent colors, permanently protecting vehicles with a sustainable, heat-free installation process. Serving as a foundation for INDYCAR's path towards sustainability and decarbonization, a hybrid engine system will debut in all cars, including the No. 2 PPG Chevrolet, this weekend for the Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio.
