Der/die ideale Kandidat/in hat eine Leidenschaft für Politik und verfügt über ausgeprägte Berichterstattungs- und Schreibfähigkeiten.

Was Sie tun werden     

• Durchführung von Recherchen und Berichterstattung für Berlin Playbook;
• Übernahme der Verantwortung für die Bereiche Grundstruktur, Gemeinschaftsbildung und Nutzwert des täglichen Morgenbriefings; 
• Regelmäßige Berichterstattung über bestimmte (noch festzulegende) Politikbereiche;
• Hilfe bei der Berichterstattung über deutsche Politik und Gesetze als Teil eines breiteren Teams, d.h. Berichterstattung und Schreiben für andere Kanäle der POLITICO-News Welt
• Weitergabe von Wissen in unserem täglichen Berlin Playbook-Podcast.
  
  

POLITICO is looking for a Berlin-based journalist to join its Berlin bureau.

We’re a digital-first publication, serving a sophisticated international audience through our POLITICO.eu news platform, our PRO subscription service and a weekly paper edition. Our readers, who often have a professional interest in politics, value our agenda-setting stories and newsletters that give them crucial insights on the ins and outs of European politics.

POLITICO takes pride in its non-partisan journalism, based on original reporting and distinctive voices.

We’re seeking an experienced German-language reporter with deep knowledge of Germany, its political system and recent history.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for politics, strong reporting and writing skills.

What You'll Do 

• Carrying out research and reporting for Playbook;
• Taking on responsibility for the basic structure, community building and value-in-use sections of the daily morning briefing; 
• Regular coverage of specific (tbd) policy areas;
• Help with coverage of German politics and policy as part of a broader team, i.e. reporting and writing for other channels of POLITICO journalism;
• Sharing knowledge in our daily Berlin Playbook podcast.
