Every 3 minutes, an adolescent girl or young woman acquire HIV in sub-Saharan Africa. At a high-level side event hosted by the Education Plus Initiative during the 1st African Union Pan-African Conference on Girls’ and Women’s Education at the African Union Commission, leaders, women’s networks and advocates called for greater investments in girls’ education for HIV prevention.
