Veterans & Military Service

Texas’s Congressional District 35 is home to thousands of military families and veterans. I take great pride in working with our military leaders to ensure our service members, their families, and the civilians who work alongside them have the support and resources they need.

Military readiness means more than just stocking up on more and more weapons and gadgets, it means investing in the people of the military. That’s why I introduced an amendment to give the Department of Defense the power to drive more funds toward child care programs for military families, taking kids off years-long waitlists. I’ll continue fighting for the resources our military families need.

Veterans served selflessly to keep our nation safe. It is only right that we honor our commitments to them when they return home. That’s why supporting our VA is a top priority for me. From modernizing health care and patient records, to addressing the suicide epidemic and ensuring women who served are fully included and supported at the VA, there is always room for improvement.

Veterans’ Services: As your representative in Congress, my office can provide assistance to active-duty service members, retired military personnel, and veterans regarding earned benefits and health care. Please fill out the form at casar.house.gov/help, and a member of my team will reach out.
