Read blog > https://lnkd.in/gyeR5cnr “We cannot afford to keep forcing corporate functions to re-engineer themselves fundamentally in order to accommodate generic, off-shelf technology solutions. Thankfully, we no longer need to. Today, one of the most important factors we need to embrace is the speed at which technology is advancing. Everything is changing. And it is changing for the better. The ability to develop bespoke technology at an enterprise level is now with us.”   Infosys Portland Director John Hatton, FCIPS, in the final blog of the series on adaptive #transformation, discusses how disruption can lead to innovative solutions. This thought leadership is already taking place in mature #procurement functions globally as they embrace “the adaptive potential of their technologies and the valuable management information now readily available to users, as and when they need it.”

Recently, our Infosys Portland team in the UK were out building important relationships with organisations and the next generation of #procurement talent.   Director John Durrell and Lyuboslava Kirilova and C V Raghav ran a session for the MBA students at University of Cambridge about procurement consulting, the work we do, careers in procurement consulting, and shared case studies that showcase the different problems we tackle and solutions we unlock for the clients we partner with.   Separately, John Durrell, Jake Booth, Harsha Utekar and Danni Zhu attended a networking event in London with around 100 aspiring consultants from University of Oxford and Cambridge MBA programs, having great discussions about careers in consulting. Thank you Ania Kowalska-Kubs from Cambridge for coordinating these two events.

“People won't change their work to suit rigid procurement processes; they flow like water, seeking the path of least resistance, often leading to savings leakage and increased risk.” Partner Vernon Kringas presented at Institute for Supply Management World 2024 today in Las Vegas this week. We had a great turnout to the session and lots of great conversations throughout the conference addressing #procurement and end user's needs by molding procurement processes and #technology to the uniqueness of the organization. By prioritizing user experience in procurement, we reimagine from one-size fits all technology approach to engaging user experience layers with intuitive interfaces that guides users seamlessly; ensuring compliance and eliminating the need for workarounds that lead to risk and frustration. We look forward to partnering with more organizations in North America who are leaning into the trends that matter, such as empowered and efficient workforce through a self-service procurement organization.

We’ll be at Institute for Supply Management this week with Partner Vernon Kringas discussing the new normal in procurement best practice and innovation. Trending in 2024: More innovation across a wider breadth of areas is needed to keep pace. #Innovation is a necessity. It’s fueled by rapid tech advancements, shifting ESG norms, persistent disruptions, and relentless competitive pressures across the #supplychain. #Procurement is feeling the heat to deliver more with less, driving a quest for new profitability and efficiency avenues, and a customer-centric approach that enhances interaction speed and ease. It’s bridging gaps, both internally and with suppliers, to offer strategic insights and spur organization-wide innovation. The focus is also on bolstering cash flow and financial stability along the supply chain, leading to an uptick in innovative financing models like supply chain finance. The strategic response… Procurement is morphing into a learning entity, swiftly identifying and adapting to new risks to build resilience and agility. Holistic transformation is needed to deliver a full set of value. This involves tech investments, training, sustainability integrated into decision-making, fostering internal and external collaboration, and nurturing a culture of continuous learning and adaptation.
