"For us at Adriatic 42, she has always been 'more than just a yacht,'" says Head of Operations Capt. Marko Blažević. "It's enough to say that this vessel, built 118 years ago, participated in both world wars. That alone tells you it’s a jewel among yachts." As a yacht that has cruised the #Mediterranean for years, Kalizma was docked at Porto Montenegro marina. Choosing the experienced professionals at Adriatic 42 for her refit was the ideal solution. In her more than a century-long history, Kalizma has seen it all, including one of the greatest love stories - that of Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. The famed actor purchased this yacht in 1967 for his great love after she won an Oscar for her role in “Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” It was on this very yacht that Burton decided to portray former Yugoslav President Josip Broz Tito in the war epic “Sutjeska”. Many years later, in 2019, the yacht was acquired by Indian billionaire Shirish Saraf, who went on to completely refurbish her. "I have dreams of living with Elizabeth on the Kalizma, and never living on land again" Burton once said. For this legendary couple, the yacht was a made for peace, love, friends, and enjoyment. Today, thanks to the dedicated team at Adriatic42, she continues to be precisely that. Onda znate da je to dragulj među jahtama,” kaže Blažević. Kao jahta koja ljeti godinama krstari Mediteranom, bila je usidrena u marini Porto Montenegro. Izbor iskusnih profesionalaca Adriatic 42 za refit - bio je idealno rješenje. “Kalizma” u svojoj više od vijek dugoj istoriji doživjela je mnogo toga, pa i jednu od najvećih ljubavnih priča - Elizabet Tejlor i Ričarda Bartona. Slavni glumac kupio je 1967. ovu jahtu svojoj velikoj ljubavi nakon što je osvojila Oskara za ulogu u filmu “Ko se boji Virdžinije Vulf.” Na ovom brodu Barton je donio odluku da glumi bivšeg predsjednika SFRJ Josipa Broza Tita u ratnom spektaklu “Sutjeska”. Mnogo godina kasnije, 2019. brod je kupio indijski milijarder Širiš Saraf koji je potpuno obnovio brod. “Sanjao sam da sa Elizabet živim na Kalizmi… i da nikad više ne izađem na kopno,” govorio je Barton.
