As a yacht that has cruised the #Mediterranean for years, Kalizma was docked at Porto Montenegro marina. Choosing the experienced professionals at Adriatic 42 for her refit was the ideal solution. In her more than a century-long history, Kalizma has seen it all, including one of the greatest love stories - that of Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. The famed actor purchased this yacht in 1967 for his great love after she won an Oscar for her role in “Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” It was on this very yacht that Burton decided to portray former Yugoslav President Josip Broz Tito in the war epic “Sutjeska”. Many years later, in 2019, the yacht was acquired by Indian billionaire Shirish Saraf, who went on to completely refurbish her. "I have dreams of living with Elizabeth on the Kalizma, and never living on land again" Burton once said. For this legendary couple, the yacht was a made for peace, love, friends, and enjoyment. Onda znate da je to dragulj među jahtama,” kaže Blažević. Kao jahta koja ljeti godinama krstari Mediteranom, bila je usidrena u marini Porto Montenegro. Izbor iskusnih profesionalaca Adriatic 42 za refit - bio je idealno rješenje. “Kalizma” u svojoj više od vijek dugoj istoriji doživjela je mnogo toga, pa i jednu od najvećih ljubavnih priča - Elizabet Tejlor i Ričarda Bartona. Slavni glumac kupio je 1967. ovu jahtu svojoj velikoj ljubavi nakon što je osvojila Oskara za ulogu u filmu “Ko se boji Virdžinije Vulf.” Na ovom brodu Barton je donio odluku da glumi bivšeg predsjednika SFRJ Josipa Broza Tita u ratnom spektaklu “Sutjeska”. Mnogo godina kasnije, 2019. brod je kupio indijski milijarder Širiš Saraf koji je potpuno obnovio brod. “Sanjao sam da sa Elizabet živim na Kalizmi… i da nikad više ne izađem na kopno,” govorio je Barton. Battery technology is rapidly expanding in the energy systems of new ships, but the growth of retrofit projects has slowed. Sean White, Director of Foreship UK, attributes this to increased costs and safety concerns but sees hope in new safety regulations and standards. The Maritime Battery Forum reports that over 1,000 vessels will be using batteries by the end of 2023, but the share of retrofits has fallen to 11%. White emphasizes that enhancing safety measures and standardization are crucial for overcoming these challenges, building trust, and broader adoption of battery technology in the maritime sector. 26 Vessels Serviced This Season – A Remarkable Achievement! As the summer yachting season begins and the first yachts set sail, Adriatic 42 shipyard in Bijela is gearing up for the new season, while reflecting on our recent accomplishments. We are proud to announce that we have successfully serviced twenty-six (26) vessels this season, each contributing to our growing legacy. Port Captain Slavko Gogić has played an instrumental role in establishing our shipyard as a premier destination for yacht and ship servicing in a relatively short period. “Servicing ships is more than just a job; it’s a lifestyle embraced by everyone at Adriatic 42. From last fall to this summer, we managed to service a total of 26 vessels. Over 30 dedicated professionals were involved with each project. Next year, we aim to surpass this achievement, as our team is capable of even greater accomplishments,” states Captain Slavko. Kako ljetnja jahting sezona počinje i prve jahte isplovljavaju, brodogradilište Adriatic 42 u Bijeloj se priprema za novu sezonu dok sumiramo naše nedavne uspjehe. Ponosni smo što možemo objaviti da smo ove sezone uspješno servisirali dvadeset šest (26) brodova, od kojih svaki doprinosi našoj rastućoj reputaciji. Kapetan Slavko Gogić ključna figura u Adriatic 42, igrao je ključnu ulogu u uspostavljanju našeg brodogradilišta kao vrhunske destinacije za servisiranje jahti i brodova u relativno kratkom periodu. “Servisiranje brodova nije samo posao; to je način života koji svi u Adriatic 42 prihvataju. Business maratonaci iz Adriatic 42 Zaposleni u kompaniji “Adriatic 42” ne prestaju da iznenađuju. Osim što servisiranje jahti dovode do savršenstva, naš tim od 14 “biznis maratonaca” učestvovao je na najvećem team building događaju u Crnoj Gori – “Montenegro Business Run”… I prošao sjajno! U trci na 5 km i konkurenciji od 2.900 trkača iz 190 kompanija naš tim bio je nevjerovatan – u ukupnom plasmanu osvojili su 22. mjesto! Pojedinačno, najbolje vrijeme imao je, a ko drugi, nego kapetan Slavko Gogić. Osvojio je 60. mjesto sa vremenom 22 minuta i 33 sekunde – kapetane bravo! I ostatak našeg tima bio je odličan: Drazen Mitrovic iz Održavanja, Vjačeslav Malijev i Muamer Catovic iz IT, Dejan Đorđević iz Usluga, Maja Kusturica, Davor Sijerković i Jelena Kontić iz Nabavke, Milos Petrovic iz HSEQ, Marko Pejakovic iz Komercijale, Ammar Tivari iz Proizvodnje, Milica Bojanovic  iz Finansija, Aleksandra Obradovic  iz Komercijale i Marija Djurovic iz PD. Not only are they masters in refitting the finest yachts, but a team of 14 "business marathoners" from Adriatic 42 also participated in the largest team-building event in Montenegro – the Montenegro Business Run... And they did fantastic! In the 5 km race, competing against 2,900 runners from 190 companies, our team was outstanding – securing 22nd place overall! Individually, the best time was achieved by none other than Captain Slavko Gogić Adr. He placed 60th with a time of 22 minutes and 33 seconds – way to go, Captain @Slavko Bravo! It is with great honor that we hosted a delegation from the Turkish Chamber of Shipping, led by its Chairman, Mr. Tamer Kiran. The chamber, which can be found at the Turkish Chamber of Shipping, represents a vast network of shipowners, captains, and shipyards and was founded in 1982 as the maritime chamber for Istanbul and the Marmara, Aegean, Mediterranean, and Black Sea regions. It encompasses major maritime players based in Istanbul, with principal branches across all significant Turkish ports. Members include shipowners, ship operators, freight forwarders, ship sale and purchase brokers, maritime insurance firms, ship suppliers, port operators, marinas, shipbuilders, and ship repair yards, among others. During their visit, our colleagues from Turkey explored our shipyard`s operations, strategic geographic location, service capacities, and advanced technical infrastructure. They had the opportunity to meet our skilled workforce and gain insights into our expertise. Mr. Kiran expressed his gratitude for our hospitality and emphasized his keen interest in fostering a stronger collaboration and connection with our company. This visit was facilitated by the Turkish Chamber of Commerce in Montenegro, reflecting the strong ties and shared interests between our nations in the maritime sector. CEO DryDock Cap. Antolović u Adriatic 42: Bićemo pobjednici! U posjeti nam je bio Cap. Rado Antolović, CEO DryDock iz Dubaija i predsedavajući Adriatic 42. U razgovoru sa radnicima Adriatic 42 Antolović je rekao da nakon svega što je vidio u Bijeloj može da kaže da ova kompanija ima “najbolji tim i najbolje stručnjake i radnike’”. - Imaćemo nove poslove i nove brodove na remontu, imaćemo nove investicije… i bićemo pobednici!” - rekao je Antolović radnicima Adriatic 42. Antolović je najavio i završetak prve faze radova kojim će brodogradilište dobiti novi prostor za remont jahti, kao i otvaranje carinske zone u prostoru Adriatic 42. Poslovni rezultati i zadovoljni klijenti govore da je Adriatic 42 u Bjeloj ove sezone ispunio postavljene planove, da su uposleni svi raspoloživi kapaciteti i da zajedno nastavljamo ovo putovanje ka cilju da brodogradilište u Bijeloj bude najveći centar za remont super jahti na Mediteranu. Thrilled to share that we had the privilege of being home to this timeless beauty since mid-January 2024. The Heesen’s 47 m-long full displacement yacht embodies its iconic classic contemporary design and elegance. After just over a month of dedicated work and completing various services, such as cleaning, painting, and propeller and shaft refitting, the yacht is getting ready to set sail.
