Yesterday was a power packed day in Muscat. We had the Women in Finance event in collaboration with OACPA, where we met some amazing women leaders in Oman. Key highlights were: 1. If women participated in the workforce at the same rate as men, global GDP could rise by $28 trillion by 2025. 2. Companies with women on their boards outperform those without, and women reinvest up to 90% of their income back into families and communities, driving social progress. 3. Yet, only 8% of the world's top 500 companies have female CEOs. These facts show why events like ours are so important. Huge thanks to Rasha Al Abdali, Ralph KHOURY, Fathiya Al-Maskari, CPA, CFE, Balqees Al Hassani, and Maha Alhabsi for their great insights! The day wrapped up with the New Member Ceremony, where we met enthusiastic future leaders ready to make a positive impact. Our ACCA community is growing stronger, and together, we aim to lead the global accountancy profession and create opportunities for all.
