The post count that displays under your name and Avatar in each thread does not update "real time". It is only updated during system maintenance once a night.
The "Forum Posts" count listed on your DSLReports "My Page is a "real time" count. You can access your "My Page" by either clicking on your user name or Avatar in any thread or by clicking "Members" and then "My Page" from the DSLReports menu on the left hand side of most pages.
