Fans say Lana Del Rey is back and "cooler than ever" as she and rapper Quavo released a cinematic countryside music video for their latest country-trap collaboration Tough.

Wednesday afternoon, viewers took to YouTube gushing over the pairs' beautifully paired vocals and undeniable chemistry in their newest single. In the 'Tough' video, fans watch as the pair go on a romantic picturesque road trip in the quaint countryside. Fans watch from the passenger seat as Quavo drove his Chevy down the winding roads lined with foliage and grassy pastures.

Throughout the video, the pair looked intimate and cozy as they sang and slow danced together while rapper wrapped his arms around the singer. The video was a picture-perfect scene of rural America as the pair are seen frolicking in open fields, playing guitar on a front porch together, and shooting beer cans with a shotgun.

In the chorus of the song, the pair sing: "Tough like the scuff on a pair of old leather boots / Like the blue-collar, red-dirt attitude / Like a .38 made out of brass / Tough like the stuff in your grandpa's glass (Grandpa's glass) / Life's gonna do what it does (Ooh) / Sure as the good Lord's up above / I'm cut like a diamond shinin' in the rough (Shine, shine) / Tough / Hard."

After the music video was released, the pair were immediately met with thousands of views and hundreds of rave reviews over the unexpected collab. In the YouTube comments, one fan wrote: "Lana‘s back and she’s cooler than ever." And another added: "Their voices put together sounds unreal." While another asked: "who wants to come on a road trip putting this on repeat." And someone else joked: "Is there something we don’t know about??? The chemistry in this video feels like i’m intruding."

The artists dropped the tune one day before Independence Day just in time for fireworks and cookout parties. The timing seemed to be purposeful as the opening scene of the video began with an American flag with Lana's face plastered on the front with the words "Lana Del Rey American queen" written across. The new song gave fans a taste of what's to come as Lana has announced that she will be entering her country era and will be releasing a new album titled Lasso this upcoming September.
