Team issues are often the biggest determinant of success or failure, with experience and learning agility being important factors. Market validation is also critical, as many startups fail due to producing products that no one wants or having poor unit economics. Financial issues like running out of cash too early or experiencing too much dilution can also cause startups to fail. Growing too quickly or taking on too much scope also contributes to failures during the scaling process. While there are no guarantees, understanding common patterns can help startups navigate the stages towards success.

Taking the role of a software architect for the last 10 years starting at a small startup moving to Amdocs OSS devision and then to Wix as chief architect, I have gained some understanding of what it makes to do architecture.
I can say today that software architecture is not about
* UML
* Those huge system box diagrams
* Writing documents
I count 4 different types of software architecture - each of the four is complex and can make a full presentation by itself.
+ System architecture - the actual layout of process on hosts - what is a service, number of instances, how services collaborate, etc.
+ Data architecture - the selection of data storage engines and their usage
+ Build architecture - the dependencies between different artifacts and their impact on development and deployment
+ Network architecture - the structure of your layer 1, 2 and 3 network with higher level services (Routers, VLANS, VPNs, etc).
I propose talking about software architecture - what is it, what practices and challenges an architect should focus on and how to bring value to an R&D organization. Resource management, self healing systems, containment of failure, architecture vs organization, etc.

The goals of Maglev include having no object to RDB mapping, no SQL queries, no save or update methods, separation of transactional code from model code, and no coupling between models and web frameworks. Examples showed using Maglev to develop investment portfolio applications with accounts, portfolios, and transactions just as objects without persistence concerns. Conclusions were that Maglev allows simpler, easier, and cheaper development just with objects.

Game Product Manager VS Product Manager.pdfshohreesmaili1
Hi guys!
To do the first things first, I have to introduce myself and my background, and we need an explanation for the reason and incentive behind this summary presentation and the series of articles that may follow for more details. I am a game designer with a focus on economy design. After some years of working in game design, I felt the most inspiring thing for me is seeing an increase in a graph (of course, not the churn graph). The combination of this with a focus on features and their results and the needs of the game led me toward becoming a product manager.
At first, I started reading about product managers' roles, responsibilities, daily routines, and most importantly, the methods they use for fulfilling their responsibilities. Initially, I tried to implement these methods in our structure, but the deeper I delved into gaming product management, the more methods I found that needed to change to achieve the best results. After some time, I realized that having knowledge of how product managers in application products operate is necessary but not sufficient to call oneself a game product manager.
Of course, they invented the wheel, special thanks to them, but the fact is that we do not have a car; we have bicycles or airplanes! So, the same wheel does not work for us! In this series of articles, I want to describe how things are different when playing the role of a PM or GPM, what you need to know, and what are not our primary challenges. How to become a GPM after discussing the pros and cons of being a PM or GPM. If you are going to choose between one of them, you can stop reading this and choose PM! But if you are passionate about becoming a GPM, I suggest you read these, then take a deep breath, make your final decision, take your sword, and be ready to face dragons, without knowing how to use the sword!
