available in 16 additional languages:
 Arabic, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish,
Hebrew, Hungarian, Korean, Norwegian
(Bokmal), Polish, Portuguese (Portugal),
Russian, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, and
Ukrainian.
 This will enable more people to have
meetings in their chosen language and
review the AI-generated notes and tasks
later, so they can concentrate on the
meeting itself rather than on taking notes.
 Intelligent meeting recap is available with
a Teams Premium license or Copilot for
Microsoft 365 license.

We will not retire Teams Live Events in
September 2024, as previously announced.
Town hall will continue to be the platform where
our new features and value land, and we
encourage Teams Live Events users to take
advantage of these new innovations by
upgrading to town hall when ready.
Some key features that will be available in town
hall in the next year to help achieve this
effectiveness include:
• Engagement capabilities (certain Q&A
functions: voting, filters, sorting, and archive
questions; export questions to CSVdownload
Q&A report)
• Device capabilities (MTR-W support for
presenters and attendees and CVI and VDI
support)
• Advanced production experiences such as
producer role, queuing shared content, and
preview scenes.

configure software within the Teams
Room Pro Management portal from
anywhere.

Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows 5.0.230.0 (5/23/2024)
This release is available for all Teams environments, however, GCC-High customers with this
version installed won't see new features released from the previous update 5.0.111.0.
This update contains essential bug fixes and performance
improvements:
• Fixed an issue where Webview 2 runtime was failing to install after
updating to app 5.0.111.0, thereby not getting the new features
released in that update.
• Fixed an issue where Teams Rooms app might not fill the display
when the display was reconnected and the scaling settings with
Console was not synced.
• Fixed an issue where a blank screen was displayed upon applying a
custom theme.
• Fixed an issue where Screen sharing from a video teleconferencing
device to a Teams Rooms for Windows device doesn't work.
• Fixed an issue where some devices failed to setup after a reset by
using Zero touch Deployment with Windows Autopilot.
• The ability to change language is now enabled by default. Admins
can turn off this feature by setting the Room language setting to

• You can now to park and unpark a call
• You can now turn on Advanced calling and Auto restart settings
• Add contacts and contact groups
• Admin’s can turn on call forwarding on home screens via Teams admin
center > Configuration > Display call forwarding on home screen, allowing phone
device users to setup call forwarding directly from home screen.
• Admin’s have the option to turn off call quality surveys on Teams phone devices
from Teams admin center > Configuration and turn off Call quality survey.
• Send incoming calls to voicemail from the incoming call screen (configurable via
calling policy through PowerShell), and control how you want to handle a secondary
incoming call through Busy-on-Busy setting (configurable via calling policy in Teams
admin center)
• When a contact has multiple numbers, you can now choose which one to call.
• People can control how they want to handle second incoming call through Busy-on-
busy setting. Admins will be able to allow people to configure the Busy-on-busy
setting by selecting Let users decide in Teams admin center > Calling policy.

  • 7. Enabling call forwarding settings on Teams phone devices Easily manage call forwarding settings directly from the phone device home screen on individual and common area phones. Admins can enable whether to show call forwarding options on the home screen on selected phone devices from the Teams admin center. Release timing: Rolling out!
  • 8. Busy-on-busy end user setting on Teams phone devices Configure busy-on-busy settings directly from your Teams phone device and set your preference for how calls will be routed when you are busy in an existing call or meeting.
  • 9. Redirect incoming calls to voicemail from an incoming call notification on Teams phone devices You can now easily redirect an incoming call to voicemail without having to accept or reject the call when receiving calls on a Teams certified phone device.

Some key features that will be available in town hall in the next year to help achieve this effectiveness include: • Engagement capabilities (certain Q&A functions: voting, filters, sorting, and archive questions; export questions to CSVdownload Q&A report) • Device capabilities (MTR-W support for presenters and attendees and CVI and VDI support) • Advanced production experiences such as producer role, queuing shared content, and preview scenes.

Now, screen sharers can save the annotated content to Whiteboard, so all meeting participants can access it later and continue working on it. To save your content with annotations to Whiteboard, you need the Teams desktop app on Windows or MacOS. When you share your screen in a Teams meeting, click “Annotate” in the presenter toolbar, and after making annotations, click “Capture a snapshot” in the annotations toolbar. Trimming lets you hide any part of a video from your viewers, without changing the original file. Open the recorded video of a meeting in the Stream web app and click the edit button. When you're done trimming you can toggle to the preview mode to see the trimmed video before saving it. The meeting transcript and chapters will be updated automatically to match the trimmed video. Admins can configure and require a meeting ID and passcode to join a meeting on Teams Rooms on Windows to ensure one more level of security and privacy. This feature is available with Teams Rooms Pro license. End users can switch IntelliFrame on or off using Stage roster. Intelligent Speakers for All Rooms and Devices: With this update, users can now enjoy enhanced productivity in any meeting space, regardless of the type of mic connected to Teams Room. Support to identify who said what during meetings, providing live attributed transcriptions. This helps Microsoft Copilot and AI notes to keep track of important information. This feature is now in public preview on Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows.
