The stability of fiscal revenue, so called the fluctuation of fiscal revenue, refers to the fluctuation degree of local government's actual fiscal revenue deviating from the expected fiscal revenue. As the main way of funds for local governments to perform public service functions, fiscal revenue is an important starting point for local governments to regulate and participate in economic activities. The drastic fluctuation of fiscal revenue will interfere with the government's economic functions, reduce the quantity and quality of public services, and produce inefficient government activities. The economic and social activities carried out by governments at all levels in practice are numerous and complicated, which can be classified according to different purposes and perspectives. However, no matter which classification method is adopted, stable financial revenue is the core guarantee of government economic activities, which is in the position of "leading the development and affecting the whole body". Based on the combination variance method of white (1983), this paper constructs the stability index of local fiscal revenue, and measures the stability of fiscal revenue of all provinces in China, and interprets and analyzes the measurement results through the theoretical method of economics. It is found that there are significant regional differences in the fluctuation of local fiscal revenue in China. By comparing the changes of fiscal revenue fluctuation index in 2000, 2009 and 2018, the fluctuation index of fiscal revenue shows obvious regional differences. The fluctuation degree of the economically developed eastern coastal area is lower than that of the underdeveloped central and Western Region, and the southern region with lower economic activity is significantly lower than that of the north. On the other hand, the external shocks such as "replacing business tax with value-added tax" and financial crisis also have a positive impact on local tax fluctuations. Through the analysis of the experimental results, it is found that good economic foundation, capital accumulation, industrial structure and geographical location have a great impact on financial stability. Therefore, the government should pay attention to the gap between the stability of fiscal revenue in different regions, actively improve the economic foundation of the poor stability of the central and western regions, formulate differentiated economic and financial policies, vigorously develop the secondary and tertiary industries, and improve the stability of fiscal revenue to cope with regional economic risks and improve the administrative efficiency of the government.
The document discusses the ninth edition of the Paying Taxes study published by the World Bank and PwC, which analyzes and compares tax systems in 189 economies based on the taxes paid by a standardized case study company. The study measures the total tax rate borne by the company, the time needed to comply with major taxes, and number of tax payments, in order to evaluate the cost and administrative burden of different tax systems. The analysis aims to provide data to benchmark tax systems, identify reforms, and inform tax policy development.
The study aimed to examine factors influencing E-filling in Kurdistan region of Iraq. To measure the current study, the researchers used three factors (perception, awareness, and quality) as independent variables and E-filling as dependent variable. A quantitative technique applied in order to analyze the current study. Sample design refers to the procedure or method the researcher is willing to accept in choosing items for the sample. Research sample was selected using a procedure of random sampling and it was carried out in different banks. A total of 120 questionnaires were distributed, however 109 participants properly filled out the questionnaires. The results of the study revealed that low levels of computer literacy have a substantial impact on the compliance levels of government organizations. The research determined that in the context of security, the danger of tax noncompliance did not have a major effect on the degree of compliance among the various Iraqi government institutions in the Kurdistan area. The extension or upgrade would be sure to assist in better understanding the determining factor for electronic filing acceptability. Moreover, government agencies, government policy makers, and system designers could also profit from a management policy such as policy makers and agencies. Because of this, the theory and discussion on the subject would provide factual support for the reasons behind why this technology was difficult to adopt. The results show that awareness influences E-as an influential factor significantly and positively E-filling at 5% level. The results show that quality influences E-as an influential factor significantly and positively E-filling at 5% level. The results show that E-filling E-as an influential factor influences significantly and positively E-filling at 5% level. Moreover, all beta value is higher than .001. All models have very high adjusted R2 (0.693, 0.621, 0.712, and 0.763 respectively) indicating the ability of the models explaining the variation of E-filling due to variation of independent variables is very high. The F-value shows that the explanatory variables are jointly statistically significant in the model and the Durbin-Watson (DW) statistics reveals that there is autocorrelation in the models.

ABSTRACT: The Study investigated the relationship between the perception of tax fairness and personal income tax compliance in Rivers State. The main objective of this study was to establish the relationship between the perception of tax fairness and personal income tax fairness in Rivers State. The survey design was adopted for this study. Yamane formula was used to draw the sample size of the study. Out of the 7865 registered SMEs taxpayers, 380 formed the sample for this study. The hypotheses were tested using Spearman Correlation Coefficient and Multiple Regression Analysis. The results show that distributive fairness, procedural fairness, retributive fairness and the perception of tax fairness have positive significant influence on personal income tax compliance in Rivers State. It is recommended that there should be increase in the provision of social goods and services to stimulate the level of personal income tax compliance. Finally, the researcher recommended that tax officers should apply minimal level of punishment on tax defaulters for effective tax enforcement and tax administration.
This study examined the impact of tax reforms on the liquidity of Nigerian stock market. Secondary data were used for this study. The relevant data were sourced from Securities and Exchange Commission Statistics and Federal Inland Revenue Service Statistics Report between 1982 and 2021. Vector Auto Regressive (VAR) Model comprising Impulse Response Function (IRF) and Variance Decomposition (VD) was used to analyze the determinants and the liquidity of the stock market. The results of the VAR Model showed that the stock market liquidity (proxied by turnover ratio) significantly responded to changes in the movement of the tax reform indicators and positive both in the short and long run. This study concluded that a positive relationship exists between tax reforms and stock market liquidity. It was recommended that the regulatory body of tax administration must intensify efforts to mitigate the impacts of the global financial crisis on the Nigerian Exchange Group.| Publisher: International Journal of Research and Innovation in Social Science (IJRISS)
This document summarizes a study that examined the effect of Value Added Tax (VAT) on the revenue profiles of state governments in Southwestern Nigeria from 2002 to 2011. The study used secondary data from approved budgets of five states. Panel regression analysis found that VAT had a positive and significant relationship with state revenues. The study concluded that increasing consumption through poverty alleviation could increase VAT revenues for states by boosting the goods and services subject to VAT.
This paper assesses the effects of Tax elasticity on Government Spending state wise from 2001-2010 for five major states in terms of population. OLS Regression model is used where the relationships are assumed to be linear. The variables used in the regression model are: Gt = the government spending at the state level, the dependent variable Yt = the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the state Ct = the central assistance to the state , Et = the elasticity variable, The subscript ‘t’ refers to the corresponding year of analysis and b0, b1, b2, b3, b4, b5 are regression coefficients. In most of the cases, elasticity bore a positive and significant relation to the level of government spending except in the case of Bihar, where the coefficient was negative and insignificant.
This document analyzes the composition and trends of Ethiopian domestic revenues from 1975-2013. It finds that total domestic revenues as a percentage of GDP have increased under the EPRDF government compared to the Derg regime, reaching a high of 17.13% in 2004/05. However, domestic revenues also experienced high volatility, declining sharply at times. Tax revenues are the largest component and have historically been inelastic. Indirect taxes, especially foreign trade taxes, account for the majority of tax revenues. The study aims to examine tax buoyancies under the two governments to better understand domestic resource mobilization challenges in Ethiopia.
This study assessed the effect of e taxation on revenue generation in Anambra state. Specifically, the study intends to examine the effect of e taxation on tax revenue generation in Anambra state determine whether the adoption of e taxation has reduced tax malpractice in Anambra state and ascertain the tax revenue improved based on the e taxation adoption in Anambra state. Survey design was employed. Data collected were analyzed and one sample t test was used to test the formulated hypotheses. The study found that E taxation has effect on tax revenue generation in Anambra state and adoption of e taxation has reduced tax malpractice in Anambra state. Another finding is that tax revenue has improved based on the adoption of e taxation in Anambra state. Based on this, the researchers recommended among others that well equipped database on tax payers should be established by the governments with the aim of identifying all possible sources of income of tax payers for tax purpose.
