Companies often use 10 or more fragmented monitoring tools which causes inefficient workflows and issues that take a long time to resolve. A study found that 65% of enterprises use 10 or more monitoring tools, and 77% of application issues take over 5 hours to fix due to the lack of integration between tools. The siloed tools waste employees' time and company resources, and lead to poor user experiences and reactive performance management.

ManageEngine - Forrester Webinar: Maximize your application performance to en...ManageEngine
Forrester analyst John Rakowski and ManageEngine's Arun Balachandran, discusses how the right application performance management strategy can cement business success.
This document discusses the need for alignment between IT service management (ITSM) and DevOps practices. It notes that while tools are important, tools alone cannot solve the misalignment between the stability-focused ITSM model and the agility-focused DevOps model. True alignment requires changes to people, processes, and tools. The document proposes that PagerDuty can help achieve this alignment by providing a platform that brings teams together, helps consolidate and cluster alerts to surface real problems, and leverages existing tools to provide visibility across applications and services.

Manage Crew Change Through Coupling of First Principles Simulation, Digital P...Yokogawa1
Simulation programs have historically been run on PCs as fully self-contained programs. The UI, calculation codes and calculations themselves have all been part of the same program on the PC itself, perhaps reading and writing against databases, file stores on the network or reading process data from plant information management systems. But the computing world is changing and many programs are now hosted in the Cloud. Building and running simulation cases is done through a web browser and calculations run without UIs in wrappers called Containers, accessed through web interfaces. Data lives in cloud data stores. The immense computer power of the Cloud and ability to multi-thread simulation technology for parallel processing has opened up the potential to run tens of thousands of simulations, with hundreds at a time, over short time periods in an automated manner – in doing so creating unprecedented levels of codified asset knowledge able to be applied at scale. This presentation will showcase the huge potential for AI/ML algorithms to be utilized and scaled more widely when coupled/trained by first principles simulation, with major benefits in how simulation is used in: Automated model building, maintenance and continuous deviation analysis; Integrated reliability and predictive equipment availability with planning and optimization; and Equipment fouling propensity predictions.

Get on the path to continuous delivery
While there are plenty of resources and tools to begin tinkering with automated software delivery and application release automation, what makes the difference between delivering software infrequently vs. on-demand? Watch now to learn three key considerations you should make if you’re serious about continuous delivery.
In this webinar, we’ll discuss:
(Finally) moving to an agile practice: More than an industry buzzword, agile development practices are crucial to unlocking the full potential of continuous delivery while offering a means to benchmark progress.
How to get full control and visibility into the software delivery pipeline: When teams spend less time manually pushing software out, they can assess and address process pains and obstacles.
Why standardizing your software delivery process and toolchain is critical: Silos exist across the software delivery lifecycle because of the sheer number of different tools available: it’s time to standardize these to break down the silos.

The Leaders Guide to Getting Started with Automated TestingJames Briers
Conventional testing is yesterday’s news, is required but needs the same overhaul that has happened in development. It needs to be a slicker operation that really identifies the risk associated with release and protects the business from serious system failure. The only way to achieve this is to remove the humans, they are prone to error, take a long time, cost a lot of money and don’t always do what they are told.
Automation needs to be adopted as a total process, not a bit part player. Historically automation has focussed on the User Interface, which can be a start, but is often woefully lacking. Implementing an Automation Eco-System, sees automation drive through to the interface or service layer, enabling far higher reuse of automated scripts, encompasses the environment and the test data within it’s strategy, providing a robust, repeatable and reusable asset.
Don’t just automate the obvious. Automation is not a black box testing technique. Rather it is mirroring the development and building an exercise schedule for the code. Take your testing to the next level and realise the real benefits of a modern Automation Eco-system.
The Best Process Automation Software for Business OwnersKashish Trivedi
Process automation makes better use of your company’s resources. Technology handles the tedious tasks involved in a workflow, which lets employees spend more time on complex work. And with employees not touching this recurring work, the risk of error is significantly reduced. Instead, the software has been set with specific rules to carry out the work in the right way – repeatedly. But these rules need to be carried out perfectly in order to see an improvement in efficiency and productivity. That means the right tool needs to be used. But with the endless lists of process automation software, it can be challenging to know which is the best choice. In this article, we’ve wrapped up everything you need to know to pick the best process automation software for your company.
