2D Game Development with scratch
Course Description
 This is a hands-on course designed for students interested in learning the basic
elements of creating a 2D Game using Scratch (developed at MIT Media Lab)
programming language
 In this class students will learn to create 2D Game by adding:
 Sprites
 Background images
 Sounds and music
 Objects
 Text
 Pictures
 Animation
 Score
 Timer
 This is an excellent introductory course to learn to develop animation and game
programming using Scratch Program
 Prerequisite: Computer Basic or equivalent
Benefits
Upon successful completion of this course:
1. Students will have Hand-on experience in developing 2D games
using Scratch (developed by MIT Media Lab) program.
2. Students will easily be able to move around this software.
3. Students will learn to add background music and animation in the
program.
4. Students will have some understanding of the object oriented
concept.
5. Since this is a free software, students will be able to use this
software at home and develop other games, left to the extend of
their imagination, even after the course ends.
