Learn about the new salary thresholds for overtime and how employees with mixed teaching and non-teaching duties may be affected in this summary from NSBA’s legal team: https://lnkd.in/eT7-WWNY

  • The U.S. Department of Education recently released its Final Rule under Title IX, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in education programs or activities receiving federal financial assistance. The rule marks a shift in policy and approach from the final rule issued in 2020 in several key ways, including expansion of the scope of discrimination based on sex to include not only discrimination based on sex stereotypes, sex characteristics, and pregnancy or related conditions, but also (for the first time) sexual orientation and gender identity. For a summary of key provisions, see this analysis by NSBA’s legal team: https://lnkd.in/eYhgZmnS
