Future MiniBrew secured

Brewing beer at home is more relevant than ever as a meaningful social activity. The trend of consuming beer at home has also proven to be an additional impulse for brewing beer yourself, exchanging recipes and stories between users, thereby contributing to a more sustainable future of beer. According to the latest forecasts, the (home) brewing market will therefore form a significant part of the total beer consumption in the coming years.

MiniBrew has developed strongly in the past 5 years. A large group of active users has emerged, which ensures many repeat purchases. A strategic investment was close in March, but the new Covid funding reality forced us to adapt the strategy at MiniBrew. The belief of all stakeholders in the product's opportunities always remained and all current investors agreed to invest: we came out of the suspension of payment phase. A restructured cost-effective organisation was agreed and this offers MiniBrew the opportunity to optimise the current products and to build the community in order to become the market leader in Europe. This is in line with MiniBrew's mission to inspire the next generation of brewers. Bart van de Kooij has been appointed as Managing Director. He has proven himself the last years as product lead and Bart is the right person to be my successor. I will continue as advisor to support Bart and the team and remain as shareholder.

I would like to thank the MiniBrew community for their loyalty and support. The MiniBrew team has developed a fantastic foundation to change the classic beer value chain: a big thank you for all team members, who made this possible. Very grateful for the unlimited support and wisdom of the Supervisory Board, Pieter Boone and Bas Maassen. I look to the future of MiniBrew with confidence. There is a growing demand for making your own beer by responding to this impulse.

My change at MiniBrew opens new perspectives. I will continue my role as Advisor at Jopen Brewery. My role at Tubes Production Company will change. I have supported Glen Ritzen and the team over the past years. Tubes is growing strongly in 2020 and the potential is impressive. We will lead Tubes together the coming period to capture these opportunities. More information: www.tubes.nl
