To all the people saying “Who cares” try walking in the artists’ shoes for a minute, the artists that have been financially affected by this. I am one of them and i can tell you that it makes a giant difference being on this platform, whether you approve of TikTok or not.

I personally wish we could time travel back to the 70's & 80's where ticket prices were fair and incredible bands could be seen . Today we see ticket prices in the $800- $1300 range for performers who are already worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Who can afford to go to these concerts? Why aren't these mega rich performers giving a break to their loyal followers. What happened to concerts for famine relief, save the artic animals, save the rainforest ? No one gives a cr__p anymore.

Personally, I was happy to see UMG leave TikTok. For a brief while, it has allowed independent artists to have a better chance at getting their music onto the for you page. But as always the BIG Players with no moral compass will again be stomping over the independent artists who get pushed to the bottom of the algorithm while artist that are ALREADY millionaires get push to the top of all the play lists and for you page with the same old drab rubbish selling sex violence and satanic worship. TikTok was built by its user base to give everyone a chance to elevate. But this so-called deal will simply stomp on the creators and independent artists that are trying so hard to get noticed and literally starving hungry tying to scrape in a living from social media and working for less than 0.25c per hour. WHAT ARE YOU DOING TIKTOK Support your user base Grow a pair and tell UMG where to go. 😡
