" Like Temu, Shein has come under intense scrutiny from U.S. lawmakers over its supply chain practices, including whether it sells goods made in China with forced labor, in contravention of U.S. law. The company recently told employees it was stepping up efforts to comply with U.S. regulations, including increasing spending on external supply chain audits, The Information reported previously. “When this company goes public, which I hope it does, it brings these issues to the forefront,” said Lawrence Lenihan, chair and co-founder of Resonance, a New York–based startup that helps brands design and manufacture clothing on demand with minimal waste. Its very existence hangs in the balance. Yes, it's dramatic, but it's also true - look at the financial results for the industry outside Zara and Shein. Fashion is a bad, outdated business model that is destroying the planet. To fix it, everything has to change. We have an answer that it took the last 6 years to build. It's called ONE.
