Imagine seeking treatment and healing in a state-of-the-art cancer and blood disorder facility surrounded by nature in a wooded setting, and offering a physician-owned, collaborative, and patient-centric approach. These components of compassionate care are why Ashley VanBuskirk is excited about her work at New England Cancer Specialists (NECS) and its new, larger facility. Designed by Page and slated to open in 2025, the new Rock Row Medical & Research campus in Westbrook, Maine, will also provide amenities ranging from restaurants to live music. Designing high-rise luxury residential towers that complement, enhance, and respect surrounding communities is a priority for us. At Page, we carefully consider site surroundings, taking note of local historic structures and the character of nearby neighborhoods and integrating features that blend and balance naturally with the existing built environment. Our design at the 35-story, 283-unit Luminary in downtown Austin, showcases that approach: the facade will have a mix of brick and glass, arches will vary in scale to integrate with surroundings, sidewalks will be wide in keeping with the city’s Great Streets plan, 22,000-sf of outdoor space created, and ground-level, covered porches will provide shaded, open-air respite to the public. We’re delighted to collaborate with Northland Living to bring this project to life for Austin.
