During the 2023 Climate Week in NYC, AKQA Bloom was invited to present the brand positioning and visual identity created for Planetary Guardians, a coalition of leaders and institutions from across the globe with a mission to elevate the Planetary Boundaries science. Guided by the principle “Listen. Unite. Protect.”, we collaborated with Aza Raskin and Earth Species Project, using AI to translate the sounds of Earth’s ecosystems into a living, breathing visual identity. Behind this initiative are brilliant minds of activists, scientists and world leaders, such as professor Johan Rockström, and Jean Oelwang, President and Trustee at Virgin Unite. This diverse and global collective is committed to listening to science, Indigenous wisdom and the natural systems that keep us alive. The idea is to create a tool to help us be in sync with what Earth has to tell us.
