Security Administrator

POSITION OVERVIEW:

A ProSearch Security Administrator will help protect our network and data from cyber threats. You will be responsible for configuration of our security controls in accordance with our security policies and procedures and performing vulnerability assessments and audits. You will also assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of security tools and systems.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze and investigate security logs and alerts using various tools and techniques.

• Respond to and escalate security incidents according to established procedures.

• Implement and enforce security policies and standards across the organization.

• Perform regular vulnerability scans and audits to identify and remediate security configuration issues.

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of security hardware and software.

• Assist in the development of network policies, security standards and authorization roles for users to adhere to in defense against unauthorized access, modifications, and destruction and provides technical support for security tools, such as web filtering and anti-virus/EDR software.

• Research and stay updated on the latest security trends and best practices.

• Attends trainings and networking events to stay current on security related topics, industry standards, best practices, legislative updates and laws.

• Provide security awareness and training to staff and users.


QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE):

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field.

• One year of experience in security administration or a similar role.

• Knowledge of security principles, frameworks, and standards, such as NIST, ISO, and CIS.

• Knowledge of security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, antivirus, encryption, VPN, SIEM, and IDS/IPS.

• Knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and applications.

• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot security issues and incidents.

• Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment.

• Ability to deliver in a fast-paced team environment.

• Manage and prioritize multiple projects.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong presentation skills.

• A positive attitude.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Repetitive movement of hands and fingers-typing and/or writing

• Have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading

• Occasional standing and walking


Compensation: $60,000
