Job Announcement
This position works within our Contracts & Supportive Services Division. You’ll be a part of a team of diverse professionals and will work with a caseload of approximately 60 participating families to purchase, with county funds, the support services necessary for their family members with a developmental disability to access and participate in community-based activities they determine to be meaningful and beneficial. This includes but is not limited to fiscal oversight of funding provided, monitoring, documenting, and reimbursing services purchased within existing Fairfax County, CSB, and SDS policies and procedures. Telework is available.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to the following:

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
Valid motor vehicle driver's license.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check, a Child Protective Services Registry check, a driving record check, and sanction screening to the satisfaction of the employer. A TB screening upon hire and annually thereafter.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be able to drive to numerous locations in the community during the course of the day. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
Panel Interview and may include a practical exercise.

- Assists in developing policy, procedure, and guidance materials relative to managing, evaluating, and evolving the SDS program.
- Maintains accurate participant financial accounts including participant budget assistance, approving funding, oversight of expenditures, reconciling bank statements and Excel spreadsheets, service hour upload to electronic health record.
- Assists in developing policy, procedure, and guidance materials to facilitate a participant’s consideration of, entrance into, support during, and exit from the SDS program.
- Manages a Self-Directed Services caseload.
- Approves, monitors, and evaluates SDS Service plans.
- Assists in problem solving and intervening on complex issues.
- Assures service documentation is submitted and data entered into the electronic health records to meet state performance contract requirements.
- Initiate, amend, manage assigned participant’s SDS Service Agreements.
- Markets and promotes the SDS program to prospective participants and works collaboratively with FCPS, the CSB and other county departments, not for profit organizations, and the Fairfax County community at large.
- Assists in building community capacity to support the SDS Program.

- Two years or more of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Experience developing and maintaining financial accounting using Excel spreadsheets.
