How are UX designers adapting to changing mobile device trends?
UX designers today should abandon platform guidelines and start from scratch as the phone UX has been bad from the start. I cannot believe that in 2024 apps and even operating systems still have spinners as an input element to individually select hour/minute or day/month/year. We still have Back button from the days of small screens that is now unreachable, or rely on gestures that are not beginner friendly or lead to unintended interactions.
