“I’ve had the very good fortune of working on Micha’s team on two occasions, first at Envoy in 2022 and more recently at Heap in 2023-24. Micha is a data-driven Marketing leader who develops agile, data-driven teams. He brings quarterly targets into weekly meetings to keep the entire team informed and accountable. He works with the team to build campaign plans and set targets well before the start of the quarter, enabling us to function more proactively than reactively. Micha encourages reflection and learning while keeping the team accountable. He’s implemented quarterly retros to review past performance and identify opportunities for greater efficiency. When a segment is off pace, he kicks off action plans to identify the cause and deliver on activities to get back on track. Personally, I’ve learned an incredible amount from Micha’s thorough, planful approach and I know I’ve become a better marketer because of it. Micha is also fosters a strong relationship between Demand Gen and BDRs. As a member of the demand gen team, I know how critical this relationship is to running an effective, efficient inbound engine, so I especially appreciate Micha’s focus in this area. At Heap, the BDR organization sat within Marketing and Micha led the team with a successful mix of process and personal connection. He established weekly alignment meetings with Demand Gen, BDR, and Sales leaders to review pacing against inbound targets. These meetings helped establish trust between marketing and sales, and created space to quickly uncover and address any gaps or misunderstandings. He showed his own commitment to this alignment by consistently attending and actively participating in these meetings - asking questions, pushing the team to close gaps, and celebrating wins. On a personal level, Micha also held regular skip level meetings with each of the BDRs and participated in BDR team meetings and quarterly business reviews. These efforts at Heap, and similar initiatives at Envoy, made for a strong partnership and productive working relationship between the Demand Gen and BDR teams, which I know was instrumental in our success. I’ve worked with Micha through re-orgs and layoffs, a tech-cesion and an acquisition, and he consistently shows up and communicates with candor and thoughtful context. When he asks for questions or perspectives, he means it - Micha is not afraid of silence and he provides ample space for others to speak up. He cares about the success of the business and the success of his colleagues, and understands the interdependence of the two. Beyond bringing transparency to his role as a leader, Micha brings humanity - both his own and a recognition of his colleagues’ - which builds trust and creates space for a team that works hard and has fun doing it. I would wholeheartedly recommend Micha’s leadership for any organization looking to scale their business, mature their marketing function, and foster a cohesive, growth-oriented marketing team.”
