Last month, leaders of oversight agencies from six countries met near Washington, D.C., to review and assess the performance of the NATO SATCOM Services 6th Generation (NSS6G). During the meeting, they agreed on an amendment to the memorandum of understanding, allowing Luxembourg and Spain to join the U.S., France, Italy, and the U.K. in providing military satellite communications to NATO. The addition of Spain and Luxembourg to NSSG6 means increased resilience in satellite communications capability, including resistance to nuclear effects and jamming capabilities. As the exercise intelligence planner, he leads intelligence projects and works with various partners and commands throughout the exercise process. Congratulations to Ben “Curly” Schneider, #USSPACECOM’s Wednesday Warrior of the Week. As the information technology specialist project manager of the Network Operations Division, he led a cross-organizational team that installed 80 network systems and a video teleconference system suite – delivering information technology and communications capabilities to the USSPACECOM Washington Liaison and Legislative Affairs Office at the Pentagon.
