Building a product is a dynamic process. Many things are not obvious and only become apparent as you develop and test your product with users. We often think we know what needs to be built, but more often than not, we are wrong in some way, shape, or form. It is only when you start using the product that you realize something is missing, and it becomes clear and obvious—yet it was almost impossible to consider during the design phase. Being users of the product we build at Tukki gives us a significant advantage. We can iterate faster than if we had to conduct customer interviews to see how others use our product. It may sound cliché, but don't wait to launch a rough MVP and have someone use it. It will be 10 times faster than continuing to build it on your own. When we started with Tukki we spent 4 months focused on 1 feature that we ended up completely deprioritizing (and continues to be deprioritized almost 1 year later) once we started working with our first client and realized that it wasn’t that important compared to other things. Don’t do that, just start with your users from day 1!

Just had a call that made my day. I talked with someone who had a frustrating experience with a lawyer. She paid $450 only to be told that her only option to come to the US was an H-1B visa, which she applied for but didn’t get. The lawyer then suggested she stay in Canada and have her boyfriend move there instead. Then she found us, used our free assessment tool, and got a recommendation for another visa. We checked it out, and it turns out she’s a great fit for it! Now, she’s starting the process to apply and move to the US to be with her boyfriend, just as they had originally planned.
