Exciting News! Our Traveling Exhibit, Dream Tomorrow Today, was voted Most Innovative Interactive Experience at the 2024 TREX Traveling Exhibition Awards, held by Museum EXP as part of American Alliance of Museums Annual Meeting. This award was peer-nominated and peer-awarded reflecting on the anticipation of the exhibit, the use of technology, home-hitting learning objectives, and time spent interacting with the exhibit. We are incredibly proud of our internal exhibits team led by our Chief Creative Officer, Meredith Doby, and our partners at Flying Fish. #AAM2024 #travelingexhibition #innovation #museum

Our Chief Creative Officer, Meredith Doby, presented three times at the Association of Children's Museums conference last week in Madison. In her presentation, Centering Children in Museum Experiences, Meredith shared prototyping methods for developing exhibitions, with a particular focus on our new traveling exhibitions, "Dream Tomorrow Today" and "Uniquely Us: Understanding Race and Building Unity".

Get ready to celebrate puppy love at the park as we gear up for our upcoming summer exhibit, Dogs! A Science Tail 🐶  Snap a photo with your favorite furry companion in front of our mural. We'll also be raffling off prizes like DoSeum tickets, gift cards and more! The first 100 visitors will also receive complimentary doggie bandanas. It's sure to be a paws-itively good time!

It was such a pleasure learning from Dr. Ann-Louis Lockhart of A NEW DAY PEDIATRIC PSYCHOLOGY, PLLC at our DOers Dialogue Speaker Series. Special thanks to our Board Member, Tinsley Smith, for moderating our Q&A Session and our friends at Whataburger for providing us lunch. We can't wait to have Dr. Lockhart back for another DOers Dialogue later this year!

We are so pleased to welcome Heather Ryniker to our team as our incoming Vice President for Finance & Administration. Heather brings extensive experience from her eleven-year tenure in the San Antonio nonprofit sector, including significant roles at The McNay Art Museum, Good Samaritan Community Services, and Blue Skies of Texas. Heather's financial expertise and dedication to responsible resource management perfectly align with The DoSeum's mission. This makes her a valuable addition to the leadership team, ready to strengthen the organization's financial foundation and expand its reach within the San Antonio community.
