Let’s talk about the elephant in the room in partnerships. We all want “partner-sourced” revenue, but the magic happens with “partner-influence.” Partner-sourced deals are visible & tangible. Referrals and sign ups that came directly from your partners. Your execs love partner-sourced revenue. Your job is justified with sourced revenue. But partner-sourced revenue is the RESULT of partner influence. Partner influence occurs first, and a small percentage of prospective buyers bubble up to become partner-sourced deals. That’s the tip of the iceberg. But we’re blind to the mountain of influence that exists below the surface. If only we could tap into that. If only we knew who these people were, what they cared about, and when they were thinking about us. If only we knew which partners could get us that coveted intro. Integrations: a game changer or a disastrous cost center? It depends. Integrations are the number 1 or 2 consideration for SaaS buyers. They also yield a 58% increased retention rate. Silver bullet, right? Not if you’re failing to check these two boxes: ▶ Promoting the right integrations to the right buyers ▶ Getting customers to adopt the integrations you built Too many companies take the “build it and they will come” approach, and hear crickets upon launch. “We spent months building this integration. We have tons of customer overlap… why is no one using it?” Because they don’t know it exists. You’re not going to get the benefits above if buyers don’t see the integrations they want, and customers don’t use the integrations they need.
