The 16-week pilot project is the first in the country to use wireless power transfer to charge shared electric micro-mobility bikes. 🚧 Summer of Shovels: Progress in action! The NYSERDA team attended the groundbreaking of a Buildings of Excellence Competition winner! Castle III, developed by The Fortune Society and designed by Curtis + Ginsberg Architects, will be a 15 story, 83 unit building in East Harlem. The all-electric building has been designed to meet passive house criteria with rooftop solar panels to supplement grid-based electricity. Air source heat pumps will provide heating, cooling, and hot water. The entire project will be built to meet the ENERGY STAR and Enterprise Green Communities standards. #SummerofShovels
