I -DETEST- the concept of an AI SDR. Because it’s really a faster 3 legged horse… not a car... here’s why I think it’s an awful idea and what I want instead… WHY I HATE THE AI SDR: The SDR model of junior people, looking for meetings from senior people, with no value to provide on their market, no understanding of the buyer, and a rough understanding of their own product plus transactional bonus breath… is awful. If the model is failing (and we agree?), don’t we also believe that the failure is not one of scale and price? That is to say, if we made it cheaper and did more of it, it would work again? So why are we trying to turn the volume up on off key music with deepfake videos of {{first name}}, but with YOUR LIPS! What is that even? LESS OF THIS —— {{useless thing about you}} {{puke about my product}} Want to talk? —— MORE OF THIS: —— {{most people think this, and they solve it like this, but our customers have taught us that this is a better approach… so we built it for them}} Want to know what they know? —— And, these AI SDRs suffer the same problem as the major data providers—the more popular they become, the less potent the result, what GREAT product gets WORSE the more people use it? We sell $100,000 items with 10 cent approaches and think the problem is we need to reduce the cost down to a penny. WHAT’S BETTER: Most great AI applications are building PURPOSEFUL workflows… and here’s what I want. Headline: AI Workflows for LinkedIn Influencers to Extend Their Reach (With Human Approval on Everything) And here are three workflows I want so I can do what I do originally, but 100x faster: 1. Traffic Jack Workflow: Find big influencers RIGHT when they post, evaluate the post, let AI tell me if it’s in my zone of expertise, suggest my content + past opinions and let me make the first comment. 2. Content Retrieval Workflow: Look for anyone mentioning keywords about job posts in sales, bring the post into a workflow, let me give them a free export of my data. 3. Comment to Content Workflow: When I post, asking for people to comment on the post for the data, do a 1-1 invite and send off my content. These workflows are not about selling, they are trying to: 1. Get more people in my space to see my best ideas 2. So that I will be respected by my buyers 3. So that, when ready, some of them will buy You’re scaling the founder’s ability to talk to their market, at scale, and, in doing so… some will convert. I just have to do this inside of LinkedIn with no workflows and 2024 distribution capabilities with 1990s opinions on the UX. Don’t build an AI SDR, this is much more useful and, fun fact, it comes with distribution because I WILL TALK ABOUT IT.

    Social Selling for B2B Teams | CEO & Founder @ Teamfluence™ | The Linkedin Myth Buster 😱

Too many people didn’t make it on Instagram. LinkedIn is not social media as you know it. It’s not B2C. It’s B2B. Here’s how this is different: - On Insta & Co. you post what you are interested in. - On LinkedIn, you post ONLY what your ICP is interested in. - On Insta & Co., you play the social media game alone. Your account. Your audience. Your show. - On LinkedIn, you play it as a team. Wear the jersey. Show up. Practice. Coordinate. Win. - On Insta & Co., you sh**tpost and gain followers. - On LinkedIn, you sh**tpost and lose trust. - On Insta & Co., follower count is everything. - On LinkedIn, only ***targeted*** followers count. Your friends and family, buddies from high school, and ex-coworkers don’t count. And sadly, that’s what most people have as a network of contacts on LinkedIn. Let’s stop treating LinkedIn like just another social network. It’s a communication platform for companies and professionals. Play it smart. Play it right. --- Hey, I am Steven Morell and I am building Teamfluence™, the most advanced social selling platform for B2B sales teams. If you're a Sales or Marketing Leader, follow me. Let's figure out how to get more out of Linkedin.

    Social Selling for B2B Teams | CEO & Founder @ Teamfluence™ | The Linkedin Myth Buster 😱

Today I am on Linkedin for 4203 days. The first 4000 days I did most things wrong. Here is a list of my mistakes and failings: → I posted things I am interested in. I should have posted what my ICP is interested in. (That's the difference between influencers and B2B marketers) → I connected with random people, friends & family, ex coworkers, buddies from high school and people with noses. (In many cases that's really all I know about them.) I should have built a *targeted* network - not an organic one. → I believed Linkedin is just another social network. It's not. It's a communication platform for companies and professionals. → I was thinking posting funny stuff with great hook lines, will grow my followers. It just grew a random crowd of followers. → I thought impressions are very important. I never asked who will be impressed. It's the *who* that matters. Not how many. → I did not send ~25 connection requests every day. That's 9125 lost opportunities per year. Or 100,000 people I didn't ask to connect with me. (With an acceptance rate of 50% that could have been 50k *targeted* contacts in my network.) → I didn't write 10 comments every day. That's 40,000 conversations I never started. → I didn't view my Linkedin Profile as a landing page. There were a lot of times when my Linkedin profile had way more traffic than my website. Yet I obsessed about my website, and neglected my profile. → I didn't link from my Linkedin profile to my website using utm parameters and couldn't measure and attribute Linkedin traffic. → I pitch slapped too many people. I am sorry. I should have thought of them as my audience, not as leads. → I posted too often with a company profile. In B2B people want to talk to people. → I asked too many people to like, share and comment on my posts without looking at their network first. All I got was their friends and their mom seeing my content. → I was too busy coming up with "fresh" content ideas. I didn't realize that I can recycle good ideas I already posted about. → In general, I overvalued posts. It's the connecting and commenting that creates network and conversations. → I listened to too many Linkedin gurus not realizing that most are just people who didn't make it on Insta. → I didn't understand good enough that your network is your net worth. What are you doing wrong? PS: If you want to know how to find out when you signed up for Linkedin: Go to Me → Settings & Privacy → Data Privacy → Manage your data and activity → (navigate to the last page) --- Hey, I am Steven Morell and I am building Teamfluence™ the most advanced social selling platform for B2B sales teams.
