There are just two weeks until the IUPAC Global Women's Breakfast - happening on 14 February! Held in conjunction with the U.N. Day of Women and Girls in Science, The goal of the GWB series is to establish an active network of people of all genders to overcome the barriers to gender equality in science. At present there are nearly 250 events registered from more than 60 countries. All science organizations are welcome to organize events. Great resources are available to all organizers to make your event shine! https://t.co/rwS5TNxJl4. We have also developed a new GWB Organizers Guide https://lnkd.in/gJ59xrea we thank our sponsors: American Chemical Society, Royal Society of Chemistry, Bayer | Crop Science, Dow, Royal Australian Chemical Institute, New Zealand Institute of Chemistry

For the past eight years I have been involved in InChI and the InChI Trust, and I am now really pleased about a significant milestone having been achieved: The new version of the InChI chemical identifier standard has been approved by IUPAC and the InChI Trust - the version 1.07 is the result of a completely rebuilt development and testing pipeline, to better support future maintenance and extension of the standard. InChI, already embedded in chemistry toolkits and widely used to link chemical resources together across the web, is a key standard contributing to findable, accessible, interoperable and re-usable (FAIR) chemical entity data. There is an active roadmap for further extensions to the standard, so expect to hear more soon. I am very grateful for the support from Springer Nature Group as a member of the InChI Trust. https://lnkd.in/eDXcXj37 #chemistry #GitHub
