Voluntary carbon market needs to "push down the doors of big corporates" on waste 🌿 📰 We are excited to share a recent interview with our co-founder and CCO, Jason E. Dodier, on Environmental Finance, where we discussed the the crucial role of waste projects in satisfying the growing investor demand for the waste-to-value concept and high-quality voluntary carbon removals. 🔍 Key Takeaways: ▪ Corporate Engagement: We urge large corporations to expand the market by integrating waste solutions into their supply chains, boosting economic growth and sustainability. ▪ Project Viability: Our platform helps businesses worldwide increase revenue potential and determine carbon removal eligibility, connecting them with diverse investors. ▪ Technological Innovation: #Biochar and other waste solutions offer significant carbon sequestration opportunities. We support producers and developers in selecting the best technologies for their projects. A big thank you to Genevieve Redgrave for the insightful interview and for shedding light on this critical issue! 🔗 Read the full interview here: https://lnkd.in/dDSExdVb #voluntarycarbonmarket #CarbonRemoval #ClimateTech #Scope3

Amazing webinar! 🌟 We are glad to have participated in "Biochar Project Finance: What’s available today and where do we want to go?", organized by International Biochar Initiative and Kita. As Hannah Calloway highlighted in the introduction, data shows a significant rise in global #biochar production from 2021 to 2023. However, despite these growing numbers, limited access to capital remains a key inhibitor to the industry's growth. The goal of everyone in the webinar was to bridge these gaps, increase access to capital, and explore why there is limited access. As Jason E. Dodier, our CCO and co-founder, emphasized: "When everyone moves forward together, success takes care of itself." 🤝🚀 He also stressed the importance of "being a fanatic of starting small." Early-stage tasks like defining outcomes, assembling the right team, creating a realistic project plan, and conducting proper economic models are crucial for success. Integrity and transparency in project development are essential. Biochar project developers, in particular, face challenges due to insufficient agreements and technological understanding. We help overcome these barriers to maximize economic potential and explore outputs. We’re focusing on the surge in non-institutional demand, especially from retail investors. Despite setbacks in sustainability-linked loans, the voluntary carbon market offers opportunities by reducing risks for other investors. It was amazing to share the panel with such experts as James Kench, CFA from Kita, Jan Cihlar from Pyreg GmbH, Will Higbee from Flowcarbon and Hannah Calloway from IBI. ✨ Thank you, Hannah, for being an amazing host! We also want to extend our gratitude to IBI, Kita, and everyone who attended, participated in the chat, and engaged in the Q&A session. #Sustainability #ProjectFinance #Innovation #CarbonRemoval #GreenFinance #ClimateFinance #ClimateTech

Driving ESG and Technology Integration 💡♻️ We're excited to share our recent participation in the "Smart ESG, AI & Analytics, and Voluntary Carbon Markets" session at New York Energy Week. Here are some key takeaways that highlight the importance and impact of this integration: 🔍 Proactive Governance: As Susanne Katus, Managing Partner at Datamaran, shared, "One of the things that our technology has enabled [one of the companies we work with] to do is really be much more proactive in how they think about these issues... They were able to get data evidence to bring to important conversations at a governance level with their board with their executive team to say: we need to focus on human rights." 🌱 Environmental Impact: Jason E. Dodier, Co-founder and CCO of Grain Ecosystem, highlighted, "Environmental degradation is going to exacerbate poverty and increase vulnerability of people unlike anything we've ever seen." 📜 Regulatory Compliance: Katus emphasized the importance of navigating new regulations. "We're seeing now, with new EU regulations such as CSRD, that what's being codified in law is that companies have to look at a wider scope of ESG issues basing materiality determinations on this universe and ultimately getting really sophisticated in terms of how they think about which issues actually present real risk, real opportunity for us and which issues do we actually have an impact on." 🎓 AI and Education: Dodier also pointed out, "At the core of that is education because employers now need people to step into roles and make decisions faster than ever." We are proud to be at the forefront of these critical discussions, driving sustainable progress and innovation. Thank you Susanne and Paul Ellis for an exciting conversation, and thank you to all who joined! 1BusinessWorld #NewYorkEnergyWeek #ESG #AI #Artificialintelligence #VoluntaryCarbonMarket

Every year, this mill grinds a total of 2 million tons of sugar cane, producing mountains of bagasse. Previously, they were piling it on the ground, which took up valuable land that could be used for planting. Now, with Grain's help, they make the best use of it by converting it into #biochar. This process solves their waste problem, improves soil quality, generates revenue, and sequesters carbon. 🌱 Thank you, Tyler Kerrigan, Olivia Stewart, and the whole team! It was great visiting you in Louisiana. 🎙 If you enjoyed this video, we also recommend watching our entire Session with Jason E. Dodier and Tyler here: https://lnkd.in/dnwvudYc

🎉 Great news! 🎉 We are thrilled to announce that our new look launches today. So, without further ado, here is our new logo! 🌟✨ All aboard the Grain Train! 🚆 Our new logo showcases the train window, selected for its symbolic significance as a perfect metaphor for Grain's mission: empowering producers, investors, and equipment suppliers to transform waste into profit. The train window embodies transparency and perspective, enabling users to survey the landscape and gain a comprehensive view of the market, with our processes and methods clearly visible. Transparency is fundamental to our approach. As the Grain Train accelerates, a landscape unfolds with two bands: one blue, representing air, and one green, representing earth.
