Most MA plans use the extra benefits they offer to attract new members and differentiate themselves from Medicare. That's nothing new. What is new is increasing pressure from the CMS to deliver those benefits in a high-quality, low-cost manner. But the environment to do that is challenging. In response, your first reaction might be to cut the non-medical or home-based supplemental benefits that we know help address health equity and social determinants. But we have shown that there is value to be gained by more efficiently deploying benefits. Our new report “Rising Medical Expenses? How to Use Supplemental Benefits to Manage Total Cost of Care” lays out this approach. We take you through the steps to drive smart utilization of non-medical benefits to address your value-based care objectives. This includes: 👉 How to Win in a Value-Based Program 👉 What Does Impact Look Like? 👉 The Right Time to Drive Engagement 👉 What’s Next in the Value-Based Journey? Demand for behavioral healthcare services has skyrocketed, reflecting a growing recognition of the importance of mental health. But health plans often struggle to provide adequate coverage due to complex network requirements, a shortage of qualified providers, and logistical barriers. A renewed commitment from CMS begins to address some of these issues. The right care coordination and network management tools can help you further improve the process. We cover 4 “must-haves” when evaluating tools to improve access to these important services. “Investing in the right solutions can help you engage a complex set of providers to quickly get your members the services they need,” said Travis Woyner. “For health plans, this leads to improved member outcomes, reduced costs, and a stronger, more compliant network.” Read more here https://lnkd.in/gMKqa6K4
