🚨 We have automated our material flow! 🚨 Anyone who has worked in precision manufacturing knows how much time is spent searching for the physical resources required to produce a part. Gathering raw materials, tools and clamping devices can quickly become a chaotic and time-consuming activity. To gain full digital control over all physical resources and to make the process more efficient, we have automated our material flow. As a machinist, I can simply order a new pallet of materials at the click of a button. Our AGVs will then bring the pallet to the machine or transport a pallet away. This means: ☑️ Machinists can focus on producing parts instead of searching for materials ☑️ We have real-time access to the location of all physical resources ☑️ Our software system can validate activities in the physical world #FactoryOfTheFuture

We recently introduced you to FactoryOS, the software system that controls our factory. Today, we will share another sneak peak into its capabilities. With FactoryOS, nothing is left to chance. It makes sure our machinists always know what to work on next and provides easy-to-follow instructions for all tasks – from the initial machine setup to inline quality control. Our machinists can thus work context-free and don’t depend on back-and-forth with their colleagues from programming, quality control or sales. Some of the benefits of this: ⏰ Speed: FactoryOS eliminates the need for information gathering and turns complex precision work into easy-to-follow and fast tasks, hence speeding up the production process. 🔗 Reliability: Since every machinist follows a well-defined production process, FactoryOS prevents otherwise unavoidable human errors and increases lead time reliability. 🔍 Transparency: FactoryOS tracks the current status of all tasks and makes it accessible to everyone. 💸 You don’t talk money? Daedalus does! Since the beginning of this year, the Californian State requires all employers with 15 or more employees to state the expected salary in all job advertisements. While it is still an uncommon practice in Germany Daedalus decided to provide a salary band for each vacancy on the job posting. At Daedalus we believe that salaries should be fair and comprehensible for all colleagues. 🚨 New machine alert! 🚨 Our machine park is growing! We are in the process of commissioning a WFL M20-G, our second turning-milling-center. We will use its 6-sided machining capabilities and extremely high precision to serve customers with demanding products in aerospace, machinery, e-mobility and more.
