💸 You don’t talk money? Daedalus does! Since the beginning of this year, the Californian State requires all employers with 15 or more employees to state the expected salary in all job advertisements. While it is still an uncommon practice in Germany Daedalus decided to provide a salary band for each vacancy on the job posting. At Daedalus we believe that salaries should be fair and comprehensible for all colleagues. Once that’s the case there is no reason for not speaking frankly about compensation already in the early stages of getting to know each other. #daedalus #hiring #salary #transparency

Free access to the labor market for foreigners from selected countries outside the EU. Today 5.6.2024, the Government of the Czech Republic adopted and approved the Government Regulation, which establishes a list of non-EU countries whose citizens will no longer need a work permit for foreigners from non-EU countries when working in the Czech Republic. The government thus established an exemption from the law for citizens of selected countries outside the EU. The list of selected states can be changed by the Government in the future by Government Decree. The regulation is valid from July 1, 2024. Citizens of the countries mentioned in the list will no longer need an Employee Card, Blue Card or Internally Transferred Employee Card to work in the Czech Republic. Citizens of the countries listed in the government regulation will thus have free access to the labor market if they obtain a residence permit. These are the countries: Australia, Israel, Japan, South Korea, Canada, New Zealand, United States of America, Singapore, Great Britain. The government regulation aims to facilitate the working situation on the labor market for qualified workers, experts and managers from foreign countries outside the EU. The list of countries established by Government Regulation can be modified by the Government of the Czech Republic according to the current state of the labor market. The government regulation is related to the current amendment to the Employment Act. https://lnkd.in/eds2CC5c

To free access to the labor market for foreigners from selected countries outside the EU. The Government of the Czech Republic has adopted and approved the Government Regulation establishing a list of non-EU countries whose citizens will no longer need a work permit for foreigners from non-EU countries when working in the Czech Republic. These are the countries: Australia, Israel, Japan, South Korea, Canada, New Zealand, United States of America, Singapore, Great Britain. Government regulations entered into force on 1 July 2024. Foreigners who legally reside in the Czech Republic and until now had the obligation to apply for a work permit for foreigners are no longer required to do so. What to keep in mind? Free entry to the labor market does not guarantee foreigners the right to stay on the territory of the Czech Republic. It is still necessary to apply for a residence permit, namely a long-term residence permit. Citizens of selected countries cannot work only on the basis of free access to the labor market and a visa-free stay, which lasts for 3 months. Citizens of selected countries are required to apply for a Schengen visa for the purpose of employment, as a long-term residence permit. However, they no longer need to submit an employment permit with the application. https://lnkd.in/e8kv33Rj

No-poaching Agreements The Czech Competition Authority issued guidelines addressing impact of no-poaching agreements, whether non-solicitation clauses or no-hire clauses, on competition and warned that these agreements will now come under scrutiny. These agreements can disrupt competition by limiting possibility to employ highly skilled workers, employee job choices, salary growth and salary negotiation opportunities, ultimately negatively affecting the consumers. ✅ Could some no-poaching agreements be acceptable? - agreements entered into in the context of M&A transactions, as long as they are necessary for the transaction and limited in terms of location and time; - agreements that are reasonable (e.g., not covering all employees but only those in direct contact with the other contracting party) and closely related to and essential for the business relationship (as seen in the case of two IT companies, according to the Croatian Competition Authority). 💡Remember this when negotiating your sales contracts or restrictive covenants for management employees, as the potential penalties can be substantial. More details in the article (CZ only) in the comment below.

Translator, Language Specialist and AI linguist, Localizer, Consultant, Travel+hotels Service Embassador, Networking. Websites, SEO, AI, Copywriting, Copy editor, AI, Digital marketingassistent - *WORKING*
The differences in minimum wages in Europe are still considerable, especially South: North. Spain is proud to raise their salaries to €1.134, while in DK it is 2,575. As a freelance translator, localizer and copywriter in my company Nenolink, I still feel the pressure on rates as well, as many translation agencies are placed in countries with a weaker economy on salary and price levels. Interesting to follow news, also about the economy @ Euractiv https://lnkd.in/d4NuPB_x
