Bank of America is helping drive CCSC's mission to increase the financial stability of low-income #Houston families. CCSC is grateful to have been chosen as a #BofAGrants recipient. With this donation, CCSC will continue helping underserved job seekers looking to improve their economic success. About us
The Christian Community Service Center (CCSC) is a coalition of 39 Houston area churches whose collective mission is to serve the poor, hungry, disabled, and otherwise needy while respecting their religious, ethnic or cultural differences. CCSC was created out of faith and founded in the belief that we are called to help all of God’s children heart to heart and hand in hand.

CCSC welcomes its Bank of America Charitable Foundation Student Leaders and their fresh perspectives, ideas and energy. From left, our 2024 Student Leaders, pictured with CCSC Senior Director of Operations Karla Crabtree, far right, are Olutobi Adeyeri, Gurtaj Singh, and Alexander Hernandez-Garcia. These recent high school graduates will spend the summer learning about the role of nonprofits in the community through their work in CCSC’s Advancement, Administrative, Emergency Services, and Workforce Development programs. #partnership #htx #ccschouston #studentleaders #makingadifference

Thanks to all who came out to the St. Luke's Presbyterian Church Community Shred Event and supported CCSC while safely disposing of old paper and small electronics. Special thanks to the management of Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers, 9530 S. Main St., for providing drinks at the event and donating a percentage of the store's May 11 sales to CCSC. #nonprofits #helping #makingadifference

Thanks to Phoebe Mayers, right, and STAA for honoring CCSC's mission by choosing us as a recipient of funds raised at the SIAA charity golf tournament at the recent insurance industry #LoneStarSummit. Thanks also to CCSC Grant Manager Karla Oppermann, left, for representing CCSC on that gorgeous day in San Antonio. #ccschouston #insurance #DoingMoreTogether #nonprofit

Nelson Whittington, General Manager of Red Wing Shoe Co., left, and Steven Price, Manager of Red Wing - Bellaire, TX, center, stopped by CCSC's Emergency Services-Southwest food pantry Tuesday to deliver food and a $300 donation to Emergency Services-Southwest Manager Pat Weatherspoon-Hall. Mr. Whittington liked what he read about CCSC on our website, found the nearest Red Wing Shoe location, stopped by to pick up Mr. Price, and then made the donation delivery. He said he enjoys these trips, and the local managers usually pick up where he leaves off. What a great idea! Thank you, Nelson and Steven. You made our day!
