#BacktoChina Strong Catena-X delegation visits key Chinese Stakeholders for the 4th time within 18 months! 💪 A strong delegation of Catena-X partners and local Catena-X representatives present Catena-X and agreed on next steps to foster a global and collaborative data ecosystem for the automotive industry. Partners of the Delegation: BASF; BMW Group; Henkel, Siemens, ZF Group; Fraunhofer ISST; AUDI AG; Volkswagen Group; Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH; Mercedes-Benz AG; #PreciseTesting; Huawei; Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited; SAIC VOLKSWAGEN Our journey started in Shenzhen on 07/04/24 where we met BYD and the #ShenzhenLocalGovernment. We organized a well received conference to engage with more then 100 local partners of the battery industry, to tackle future battery regulations like the EU Battery Passport. The trip continued in Beijing on 07/08/24, where we kicked-off the week with an open dialog at AHK Greater China, followed by meeting representatives of #CAAM (Chinese Association of Automobile Manufacturers). Later the day, we joined an exclusive round table at the Tsinghua University on Automotive Data Transfer. Special thanks go to the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) which opened many doors and introduced us to the relevant parties. On 07/09/24 we met the #ChinaBatteryIndustryAssociation in the morning, followed by meetings with CAICT (👉 watch out for upcoming exiting news) and CATARC Certification. Further we met with Great Wall Motor Co., Ltd. and the #DaxingFreeTradeZoneCommission on how to foster cross border data exchange. The entire day pretty much focused on meeting upcoming regulations. Those requirements can only be met, when we as a global industry and all regions join forces to forster global collaboration via trusted and interoperable data spaces. Our Bejing stay ended by meeting officials of the #ChinaAcademyofIndustrialInternet to discuss ways how to collaborate on de-carbonization measures via data spaces. On 07/10/24 our trip continued in Shanghai where we met NIO, #ShanghaiDataGroup and Top-Representatives of the #ShanghaiGovernment. We concluded this strong trip by hosting a conference together with the #AntingGovernment and SAIC VOLKSWAGEN to share insights on Catena-X with local automotive suppliers and partners. All in all, we had the mission to create not just awareness but also bring the Chinese Automotive Community closer to Catena-X and trigger the establishment of a local Hub to represent Catena-X in China. We would say: We are almost THERE! ⛩ 🚀 Thank you to all who supported us, who opened doors, who trusted us and who traveled with us. What a great community and mission to share. Special thanks go to Claus Cremers; Frank Goeller; Oliver Ganser; Sebastian Schlosser; Joshua Gelhaar; #YukiWang, Juergen Grotepass, 郭裕根 博士; Tianning Li; Justin Du; Ruoxin (Paul) Li; Dean Di; Chun Peng Jia; Stefan Bücke and many many more great people.
