I rarely get dressed up. At this point in my life it’s either a wedding or a funeral where I put on anything other than my BRUNT gear. However, last night I was nominated for the E&Y Entrepreneur of the year award for New England and they asked nicely that I dress appropriately for the night. In a room full incredible entrepreneurs who are transforming their respective industries, I was blown away to be selected as one of New England’s Entrepreneur’s of the Year. One of the hosts shared that there are 1.3 million businesses in New England, and last night they awarded 11 Entrepreneurs from New England which was an eye opening honor. While I received the award, the reality is, the key to success behind any entrepreneur who has ever built a brand or business at scale, is their team. BRUNT outgrew any one persons ability to build and operate every aspect of the company long ago, and without our 59 employees BRUNT wouldn’t be where it is today, or maintain the explosive growth we’ve been been fortunate to experience together. I’m a firm believer if you treat your employees as best as you possibly can, they’ll take care of your customers as best as they possibly can. And our customers deserve that - they wake up every day and build the roads we drive on, the houses we live in, the buildings we work in and keep our country moving forward. This award is a testament to that, and I was proud as hell to accept it on behalf of our employees and customers who are the ones who truly build BRUNT every single day. Brick by brick, LFG.

Hell of a weekend for BRUNT Nation! Congratulations to BRUNT Workwear bull rider Casio Dias for one heck of a finish at AT&T Stadium in Texas. Casio got stomped on by a bull landing him in the hospital in the early rounds of the final week. Perseverance is the name of the game and he did just that. BRUNT Workwear is essentially doubling the size of its market by expanding into wholesale, CEO and founder Eric Girouard told Modern Retail. “This is the most transformative moment in company history since the day we launched it,” he said. Girouard hopes to achieve a 50/50 split between #DTC and wholesale in the next five years or so, although he acknowledged Brunt is “not taking our foot off the gas on the growth of our website and digital channel.”
