Limitations of Transferring Your Subway Surfers Data

While the above method works well in most cases, some limitations mean it won’t work for certain people and scenarios. Here’s a quick overview of where you may run into issues.

  • If you don’t have access to your old phone. If your old phone has died and you didn’t already set up cloud saves via Game Center or Google Play Games, you can’t get back your player data. That’s why it’s important to set up cloud saves as early as possible.
  • You can’t transfer data between Android and iOS or vice versa. For the most part, you can’t transfer your Subway Surfers data between Android and iOS or the other way around. That can change if, for instance, you’re setting up a new Android from an iPhone, but if you solely want to move the game between the two OSes, you can’t do so.
  • You forget your account details. Forgotten your Facebook or Game Center/Google Play Games account details? Unless you can get the password reset, you won’t be able to restore your data to the new phone. If this happens, contact Subway Surfers support with screenshots of invoices of your purchases to get in-game items you paid for back.
