Major League Baseball has a home in Sacramento! When Vivek Rranadivé bought the Kings, he declared Sacramento would never play second to any city, and he has lived up to this in every way -- from the growth of the Kings franchise to the purchase of the River Cats and now bringing a Major League baseball team to West Sacramento. This is a huge opportunity for us to show MLB that we are a destination with the greatest fans in the world. With an estimated economic impact of hundreds of millions of dollars to the area, we expect to see an increase in jobs, local businesses, entertainment, and above all, belief and trust in the future growth of Sacramento that will only inspire more investments of this kind. And now, it's up to us to do what we do best, lean in and be the best fans we could ever be. When visiting Major League teams come to our stadium, they will wish they had fans like us. Team relocations are hard and can be heartbreaking for the fans and teams. So when Oakland fans come to visit, and the Athletics take to the mound in our city, we'll be sure they all feel the love and support of Sacramento area fans.
